Act, 1881 (central Act XXVI of 1881) read with the Government of India,

The following Notification shall be pulrlished in the next issue ol'Andhra
F'radesh extra-ord ina rY Gazette :

The Government of Andhra Fredesh clirect thnt the days specified in

Annexure-I(A) sha!l be observed as General t'{olidays by all the State
Government Offices excluclinE the holidays falling on Sundays slrown in
hnnexure-I(B) and Optional l-iolidays shown in Annexure-Ii{A) except the
Ctplional Hotiitays fallirrg on Sir-rnc!ays shown in Annexure Il(B), clurinE the
year 2011.

The State Government directs that all offices under State Govr:rnment
shall remain closed on ali Sundays and Second Saturdays in all the months
during the Year 20L1

in addition to the above menticnecl General Hofiidays in Annexure'1(A),

the State Governrnent employees may avail themselves of Optional lrlolidays
not exceeding FIVE during the year 2011 on the festlvaUoccaslons s;pecified
in Annexure-tl(n) to this order, at their option and irrespective of the
religion to whiih the festival pertains" irernrlisslon to avail any of these
hol'rlays should be ap5:lied fo,r, in writirig. !n advance and will norrnally be
granted by the Superior Officers competent to Erant casual leave except
vrhen the pr:eseRce of alr lndividual ernployee consieJered nece$sary in
erxigencies of Governrnent work"

The Government also directs that General Holidays shall not ipso-facto
apply to the Industrial Establishnrent and Pubiic {.Jndertakings under the
contiol of the State Govei'nment, the wr:rkmen errgaged in Public Works
Departments and Educational Institutions ir"l this State. Separette orders
regarding the festivals/occasions when these Institutiarrs to observ,e holidays
shall be issued by the concerned Adr:tinistratlve Departrnent of the
Siecretariat.

If there is_any change of date in respect of Idu,l Fitn, Iclu,l zuha,

N'luharram and Id-e-Milacl as per the moon sight or any other hoiiday
declared now, it shall be announced through eleclronic/prini rnedia. All the
Departrnents of Secretariat, f'leads of Dipartments and District Collectors
shall take action according to such an announcement and without waiting for
fr:rmal order about the change of date.
