Experience
Amending Clerk - Utah State House of Representatives | Ongoing: During
Legislative Sessions
- During Utah’s general legislative sessions, I work directly with Phalin Flowers to put in committee
amendments and any floor amendments, whether they be verbal or written. This position
requires precision and detail due to the fact that these amendments will be put into bills that may
become state law. Out of all of my work experience, being the House’s Amending Clerk presents
itself with the most challenges but always proves to be the most fun and rewarding.

Paralegal - Lexington Law Firm LLC | 16 May 2019 - 21 January 2020

- Becoming a paralegal at Lexington was a great opportunity to connect with clients across the
nation. I assisted the clients with all of their credit repair needs - from getting their credit scores
to helping them determine which challenge letters they wanted to send out to creditors in an
attempt to remove the negative items from their credit reports. I helped clients to see the value in
credit repair and credit building, along with how it can affect them their entire life and the
importance of staying up to date with their finances and to track where their money was being
allocated. I handled all of my clients accounting. I helped them with their monthly payments,
adjusted billing dates, determined which service level was best for them and tailored it as their
credit repair needs changed. The work environment was very friendly and productive. Working
with Lexington Law Firm was a fantastic way to interact with many different personalities and
helped me to develop being more personable.

Gigi Pip Hat Shop | 5 June – 12 November 2018

- I worked for a local hat shop and handled shipping of product orders to customers. I had the
chance to interact with customers that came into the store and had the opportunity to learn about
others though hats.

Discovery Gateway Children’s Museum | 29 December 2017 – 20 April 2018

- Working at the children’s museum, I was able to interact with a spectrum of children with
different levels of skill. It was a great learning experience being able to work with children, which
I love, and also taught me how to deal with a less-than-great management.

Front Desk Associate | Residence Inn by Marriott | 6 June – 18 August 2017
- Working at the Residence Inn, I was able to efficiently learn and operate the FOSSE system. I took,
made cancellations, and adjusted reservations for guests, as well as updating credit card
authorization forms. I managed the front desk and kept it organized and assisted guests with any
needs that they had.

Intern | 2017 Utah State General Legislative Session | 9 January – 9 March 2017
- I was an intern to Representative Christine Watkins during this time period. I managed her
schedule, set up appointments and meeting, bill tracked, and managed emails. It was an invaluable
experience that enticed my interest to proceed into the world of politics.

Babysitter | Self-Employed | 2009- Now
- I take care of several children ranging in ages from Newborns to 12-year-old’s.

Job Shadowing | Ballard Spahr LLP. | 7 April, 2016

- I had the opportunity to meet and shadow many of the Lawyers and employees at the Ballard-
Spahr Law Firm in Salt Lake City. There, I was able to experience how they go through cases and
how they write and come up with contracts of all forms. I also had the chance to meet a Paralegal
who instigated my consideration of the field of doing the research and fact checking that build
cases. After completing this job shadow, I also became more interested in politics and have
seriously considered majoring in Political Science when I transfer to the University of Utah.
