SME panel questionnaire on eTranslation

Introduction to the Questionnaire

Would free access to a secure automated European translation tool help your business?

Automated translation can allow you to understand foreign language enquiries, correspondence, and other
information, quickly and easily, in a way that was previously unimaginable but you have to bear in mind that
it does not match the quality of professional human translation.

The European Commission plans to offer all EU SMEs free-of-charge access to the tool currently used by
the European institutions and public administrations across the EU. Before doing so, we would like to better
understand SMEs’ needs and use cases for this translation tool, and for other language tools we are
currently developing. Your reply to this survey is greatly appreciated.
