and position four support plates at vehicle lift
support points specified by vehicle
manufacturer.

line in order to prevent inadvertent contact
with the ground point of the battery.

Mark front propeller shaft (4) relative to
propeller shaft flange using colored pencil or
chalk.
Installation: Observe tightening AR41.10-P-0070-03GZ
procedure for front propeller shaft (4).

4 Disconnect automatic transmission/intelligent
servo module (X22/6) connector at intelligent
servo module (A80)
5 Prop up transmission and secure against
falling down.
6 Remove engine crossmember (1)
7 Remove bolts (5)
8 Remove intelligent servo module (A80) with
bleed hose
9 Twist the range selector shaft (3) of the
transmission counterclockwise up to the end (A80).
stop on position "D" (arrow)
10 Install in the reverse order
11 Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS, read out fault
memory and erase if necessary
12 Using STAR DIAGNOSIS, perform initial
startup of intelligent servo module (A80)

When reusing the intelligent servo
module (A80) do not detach bleed hose.
Leaky separation points result in water entry.
When replacingthe intelligent servo module
The new intelligent servo module (A80) is
on position"D" (arrow). (condition as supplied)
When replacing intelligent servo module
(A80) replace bleed hose.
Installation: The positions of the range
selection shaft (3) and intelligent servo
module (A80) must match up, rotate range
selection shaft (3) if necessary.
