I. OBJECTIVES

A. CONTENT STANDARD:
The learner demonstrates understanding on skills and knowledge in performing
body massage.

B. PERFORMANCE STANDARD:
The learner independently demonstrates competencies in performing body
massage.

C. LEARNING COMPETENCIES:
At the end of the lesson, the students are expected to:
1. Define body massage.
2. Explain intelligently the four basic techniques in body massage.
3. Perform the four basic techniques in body massage.

II. SUBJECT MATTER


Topic: Body Massage
Materials: Cartolina, Pictures, Manila paper and powerpoint presentation

III. PROCEDURE

A. Daily Routine
1. Greetings
2. Prayer
3. Checking of attendance

B. Review
 The teacher recalls the past lesson about how to scrub the body
surface.

C. Motivation
 The teacher will ask four (4) volunteers from the class to go on the
board and complete the puzzle that forms a picture.

D. Presentation
 The teacher presents the new lesson by asking the students on
what they have noticed about the picture formed in the activity they
had.

E. Discussion
 The teacher will discuss the new lesson about body massage.

F. Application
 The teacher will let the students on how to perform the four basic
techniques in body massage using the right position and movement
of the hand.
IV. EVALUATION
Identification: Identify the following statement:
1. The simplest technique to perform and can be used everywhere on the
body.
EFFLEURAGE
2. Curl hands into loose fists, with your knuckles on your partner’s skin, glide
up leg and back using the middle section of your fingers.
STRAIGHT KNUCKLING
3. It is an alternative way for relaxation.
BODY MASSAGE
4. Any stroke that presses, squeezes and rolls the muscles under the skin.
PETRISSAGE
5. This consists of brisk strokes made by using both hands alternately in a
rhythmic motion.
PERCUSSION

Define the following:
 Mirrored hands
 Alternate hands
 Wringing
 Kneading
 Hacking
 Pummeling
 Cupping
