The following document is a checklist for you to complete as we progress through units 0-3. Its
purpose is to involve you in your assessment of mathematical understanding. You should be using
this daily/weekly to appraise how well you have learned the material. More specifically you should be
aiming to master each skill and concept, but understand that mastery will take time and practice so
there will be times where you are still confused (have a difficult time starting problem) or
proficient (are able to do easy types of problems). Being able to recognize where you are at will help
you achieve a greater mathematical understanding. Therefore this process is essential to your
learning because recognizing what you know and don’t know is half the battle.
