INTRODUCTION

 Around the world, a large proportion of urban and inter-urban transport systems
remain inaccessible to persons with disabilities

 Mobility constraints are a serious impediment to disability-inclusive development, as


they exacerbate the personal, economic, and social isolation of persons with
disabilities

 To break this cycle, the proposed idea deliver transport infrastructure and services
that can be accessible to all users, including those with disabilities

If your daily commute forces you to waste precious hours stuck in traffic or to elbow your
way into overcrowded public transit vehicles, you probably need little convincing about the
importance of good quality, reliable transport. Now, imagine your frustration if, instead of
simply dealing with less-than-perfect transport, you had to make do with no transport at all.

For many persons with disabilities, this is not just fiction, but a daily struggle that is all too
real: a large proportion of urban and inter-urban transport systems remain either completely
off-limits or incredibly difficult to use for passengers with disabilities, turning even the
shortest trip into a logistical nightmare.

Mobility constraints are a major obstacle to disability-inclusive development, as they


exacerbate the economic, social, and personal isolation of persons with disabilities, and tend
to push them further into poverty.
PBOBLEM FACED WHILE BOARDING BUS

SUGGESTED MECHANISM DESIGN

Mechanism Design carried out to see how mechanism of device is working. In Fig. 2, 3, 4 and 5
different position of the device is shown.

STRUCTURAL ANALYSIS OF THE BUS BOARDING DEVICE

A. Analysis Objective
1. To analyze the arrangement of Bus Boarding device for the static structural
integrity.

2. Perform the analysis for the boarding base at top level and assembly in locked
condition supported by fixed channels welded to chassis connection.

B. Analysis Approach
1. Weld lines along fixed channels on either side are fixed in all directions.

2. Total Mass of 400 kg is simulated as point mass and connected to wheel locking
locations on the base plate.

3. All the components of the assembly are considered are generic steel material.

4. All three hydraulic cylinders are not considered and assumed that they are not
adding considerable stiffness against loading during locked condition.

5. All joints & link connection are simulated as bonded contacts (rigid connections).

6. Boundary conditions are applied on 3D model in ANSYS software as shown Fig.

To Determine bus location with seat availability


 Huge necessity for public transport due to rapidly increasing
population growth
 Greater need for passengers to know precise details about the
frequency of arriving buses
 Making such information allows commuters to take timely and wise
decisions on alternative means of transportation
BUS TRACKER:
 GPS facility: Provision of the current location of buses
 System uses GPS from mobile phones to keep track of buses nearing
the boarding point and providing the necessary information for
commuters boarding the buses
 Joining GPS device with the ticket printer to track the location
 Synchronisation of the signals with server, the location of the bus can
be obtained.
SEAT AVAILABILITY:
 Obtaining the information of the bus location using the GPS in ticket
printer.
 The persons traveling region is calculated from the starting place and
destination given in the ticket printer.
 Then the bus position is compared with the traveling region of every
person.
 If the bus position is inside the region, then the number of person is
added with 1,this process repeats with every person's traveling region
in the bus.
If the bus position is not in the traveling region,it deletes the Persons
information which means the person has got down.

CONCLUSION:
The proposed solution will certainly bring about the best change in the society
thereby making transportation a easy and a comfortable one to all the commuters
including the differently abled sections of the society.
