WHAT UNESCO AND MEMBER STATES CAN DO FOR EDUCATION 2030 FOR ACTION TOGETHER
Brunei In line with the long-term development vision of Wawasan Brunei 2035, UNESCO
Darussalam Jakarta Office will continue working closely with the Ministry of Education and the
National Commission for UNESCO in Brunei Darussalam for Quality Education
especially focusing on Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) for
entrepreneurship & lifelong learning and Teachers and ICTs)
Indonesia The Government of Indonesia’s interests in creating jobs with advanced trainings
for young populations indicating the median age by 28 years old and around 43%
of population between 22 years old and 54 years old, TVET together with Teachers
and ICT is one of the areas of action with a greater partnership between the
Government and UNESCO Jakarta Office. In addition, UNESCO Associated Schools
Network (ASP net) would an another asset for Climate Change Education for
Sustainable Development (CCESD) for a strong Indonesia-UNESCO Jakarta Office’s
Partnership in consideration of its highest numbers amongst UNESCO
Membership States worldwide)
Malaysia Under the Malaysia Education Blueprint 2013-2025, Early Childhood Care and
Education (ECCE), Global Citizenship Education, and CCESD are the strong areas of
actions in consideration of the Government’s series of regional contributions to
these education fields and international workshops and events. In particular,
UNESCO expects to continue to support the Government’s interest and effort on
South-South Cooperation as indicated in the previous Climate Change Education
Project for Asia Pacific Small Islands Developing States with the Malaysian Trust-
in-Fund)
Philippines To advance Education Sector Planning to support Education Reform for K-12
together with Inclusive Education for Out-of-School Children integrated by gender
perspectives, UNESCO will continue a tighten cooperation with the Department of
Education (DepEd). Noticeably, ECCE is another area of action in need for a greater

through development of curriculum, training modules, teaching & learning
materials for all areas of actions such as for ECCE, Teachers and ICT, Inclusive
Education, ESD, GCED, PVE and TVET based on the previously acknowledged
achievements of Math and Science Education Project for Basic Education)
