17. CRTP is a compression scheme that can have a positive impact on overhead.

What are two possible problems with using this protocol? (Choose two.)
A if the compression is not performed with exactness at each end it will disrupt
audio
B if the compression is not performed with exactness at each end it will disrupt
the entire network
C depending on other demands placed on the router processor, the additional
demand of CRTP could slow down or cause it to stop completely

Which two Avaya Communication Manager forms address control of hair pinning and
shuffling? (Choose two.)
A the station form
B the ip-network-map form
C the ip-network-region form
D the system-parameters ip-options form

19. A customer has requested that a small range of extensions at Node B only be called over
the private network by users calling from Node A. There is Direct Inward Dial (DID)
capability from the PSTN to these extensions. If a user attempts to dial the ARS code
followed by the 10-digit DID number from Node A, you need to convert it to a 7-digit private
network call.

Which Avaya Communication Manager form do you change to allow this conversion?
A ars dial-plan
B ars-numbering-plan
C aar digit-conversion
D ars digit-conversion

20. An Avaya IP phone is connected over a WAN link to the main office where the TN799 CLAN
and TN2302 IP Media Processor are located. The Avaya IP phone is registered properly
on the CLAN.

A DCP phone calls the Avaya IP phone and the call is answered. The audio quality is poor
in both directions, but the call stays up until one of the users disconnects.

Which two conditions cause this audio quality problem? (Choose two.)
A insufficient IP media processor resources
B use of the G.711 codec to transmit audio over the WAN link
C implementing Weighted Fair Queuing (WFQ) on the edge router
D intermittent connectivity between the Avaya IP phone and the CLAN

21. A customer reports that their Avaya 4600 Series IP Telephones are not registering with a
gatekeeper in building A of their corporate campus. The customer recently implemented
Dynamic Hosting Control Protocol (DHCP) for their IP Telephones. When statically
configured, the phones work well.

What are two possible causes for this? (Choose two.)

A The cabling in building A is not category 5.
B The address in the MCIPADD field in option 176 of the DHCP Server is
incorrect.
C Building A is on a different network and the DHCP/BOOTP relay agent is not
selected on the router.
D VLAN tagging is not enabled on the customer's switch and the VLAN ID is not

configured in option 176 in the DHCP Server.

22. A customer is using Avaya 4600 Series IP Telephones on an Avaya S87xx Server using
several TN799DP (CLAN) and TN2302 (Medpro) cards. Telephones located at a remote
site are unable to register with the CLAN. The CLAN can ping and be pinged.

Which two commands or troubleshooting methods can identify the problem? (Choose two.)
A list sys-link
B status station
C list trace ras station
D use a network sniffer between the phone and the network
E use a network sniffer between the phone and the network

23. Which statement about Avaya IP telephones is true?

A the Avaya IP telephones must first be configured statically from the keypad
B the Avaya IP telephones must be located on a remote subnet of a DHCP
server
C the Avaya IP telephones must be located on the same subnet as a DHCP
server
D the Avaya IP telephones may be located on the same subnet as a DHCP
server or on remote subnets

24. Using the Maintenance Web Interface, the ping option on the Avaya S87xx Server allows the
user to confirm connectivity to which boards in the system?
A all of the CLAN boards
B all of the TN2501 VAL boards
C all of the TN2312 IPSI boards
D all of the TN2302 IP Media Processors

25. Your customer indicates that end users are hearing echo on IP Phone calls.

Which factor might cause the echo?

A signal loss experienced along the echo path
B congestion of voice packets against a firewall
C the jitter is not being converted within the network
D round-trip signal delay experienced along the echo path

26. You use several TN2302 (Medpro) cards for your VoIP resources. The network
administrator tells you that one of the Medpro cards keeps resetting its Ethernet port.

Which command in the Avaya Communication Manager checks to see if there is a port
speed mismatch issue for this particular board?
A status board
B list ip-board
C get ethernet-options
D change ip-interface board

C attach the protocol analyzer to the supervisor port and enable port monitoring
D mirror the port that needs to be monitored and attach the protocol analyzer to
the mirror port

28. An IP voice terminal user is reporting poor voice quality on incoming and outgoing calls. You
suspect packet loss or jitter may be the problem.

A status clan-ip
B status station
C list measurements clan
D list measurement voice-cond summary

29. Your customer uses Avaya 4600 and 9600 Series IP Telephones for 500 associates
located in a new building. All other employees are using Avaya digital telephones.

The Avaya 4600 and 9600 Series users complain that they hear an echo whenever they call
a toll-free number while using the speakerphone. There is no echo on other calls. The
Automatic Route Selection analysis shows that the calls with an echo are routed out of the
PBX over analog CO trunks.

Which two actions eliminate the echo? (Choose two.)

A replace the CLAN board(s)

B replace the media processor board(s)
C switch to the handset on the Avaya 4600 and 9600 Series IP Telephone
