INTRODUCTION

L’AINE Services Limited is a company involved in the provision of human resource


services, such as job placement (including outsourcing of staff to companies), training,
organisational development, career counselling and the production of management
training videos. We also carry out grooming/interview preparation and rapporteuring.

The Head Office of L’AINE is situated at Ocean View Estates, Sakumono, off the Nungua-
Ashaiman road. This is where the main activities of the company are coordinated.

The company has three branches in:

• Kumasi: behind the SIC building opposite Prempeh Hall. This branch caters for
outsourced staff, training and recruitment requirements in Kumasi and the northern
part of Ghana.
• Circle: directly opposite VAT Offices, Ring Road Central. The branch handles
registration of jobseekers, requests from employers and training.
• Takoradi: The office is located on Liberation Road, Timber Bar, near SDA Clinic
and caters for the Central and Western parts of the country.

We are proud to mention that we currently offer our services to over 250 Corporate
Companies and many individuals spread throughout Ghana.

RECRUITMENT PROCESS

At L’AINE, we are well able to offer any kind of recruitment service you require. This, we
do by employing recruitment and selection processes that are standardised and well
tested.

1. Taking into account the qualifications, skills and competences required and
provided by our clients, and other criteria L’AINE might deem appropriate, we will make a
match by using our database, our website job advertisement section and where
necessary, placing advertisements in the local newspapers.

2. After compiling all the CVs, the required competences and criteria are tabulated
and candidates eliminated or approved as appropriate, depending on these
competences. A shortlist of candidates is drawn up.
3. An overview of the job description and compensation package is given to the
shortlisted candidates and they are asked specifically if they want the job.
4. Written tests are carried out if required to assess their aptitude.
5. L’AINE will undertake a preliminary interview or pre-screening to ascertain the
candidate’s suitability for the position envisaged.
6. After the interview, a report is presented which will include the results of the
interview. The best candidates are selected and their CVs and interview report are sent
to the client for a final interview and selection.

7. The client at all times has the final say in the selection and recruitment of staff.

8. In the unlikely event that an employee is unacceptable to the client, L’AINE


promptly replaces the employee. L’AINE also releases any employee chosen by the
client for direct employment.

9. The client determines the compensation structure to be paid to the personnel via
L’AINE.
10. L’AINE starts managing the staff.

L’AINE OUTSOURCING SCHEME

L’AINE’s outsourced service provides client organisations with staff and takes over all the
recruitment, contracting, payment and attendance management responsibilities in order
to relieve the client of its administrative obligations so the company can concentrate on its
core business and strategy.

L’AINE Services either absorbs the current staff of your Company or provides new and
experienced staff and takes over the administrative burdens associated with managing
them.

When there is a vacancy, L’AINE will be responsible for replacing that vacancy with a
qualified and well-oriented candidate subject to your approval. We also take care on
behalf of our clients the following responsibilities: salaries, social security contributions,
medicals, leave and taxes.

Mentioned below are some of the staff members who directly handle the recruitment
process.
Mrs. Ellen M. Hagan, Executive Director is a human resource management practitioner
and has successfully developed and managed L’AINE Services for over eleven years.
Her experience has been gained through her work and training with government
agencies, multinationals, NGOs and with groups and individuals at various levels, from
Chief Executives to supporting and auxiliary staff.

Ms. Doreen Hyde, Head of Recruitment, is directly in charge of recruitment. She


oversees the orientation, interview, selection and relieving processes of the Company.
She has over 20 years’ experience in administration.

Mr. James Laar, Projects Manager, runs the outsourced projects. He is an Administrator
by profession. He holds a degree in Business Studies from the University of Cape Coast.

Mr. Evans Fiho, Recruitment Specialist supports the Head of Recruitment and is
involved with selection of job seekers for interviews and the administrative tasks that this
involves. He assists with the orientation and counselling of selected candidates. He holds
an MBA in International Management and has over ten years working experience.

Mrs. Asabea Owusu-Koranteng, Recruitment Officer selects suitably qualified job
seekers for particular jobs, assisting with counselling and orientation. She holds a
Bachelor of Education in Psychology from University of Cape Coast. She is currently a
Professional Stage Student of the Institute of Human Resource Management
Practitioners.

Mr. Kwame Owusu-Ansah, Project Coordinator, supports the Projects Manager in the
management of projects staff. He handles data input and coordination duties. He is a
graduate of the University of Ghana, Legon.

COST OF SERVICE
Recruitment
Our charges are generally equivalent of one (1) month’s salary for each of the positions
filled. Different charges are applicable depending on the kind of service as per attached
service charges.

Outsourcing

The remuneration is computed to cover gross salaries for employees, Social Security
contributions and a management fee. L’AINE Services Limited charges a management
fee which is computed on the total remuneration of our staff who work with your
organisation. The cost for our services is negotiable depending on the number of
employees outsourced.

We have carried out recruitment services; that is, outright placement of staff, for over 250
varied companies and individuals. They include Gold Fields, USAID, SC Johnson,
JHPIEGO, Shell, ABC Transport, Bank of Baroda, Lincoln Community School (the
