Marketing strategy

Marketing Strategy plays a crucial role in the growth of an organization. Many

companies are not able to decide upon the moot question - whether to invest
in discounts and promotion or to invest in enhancing their reputation in the
market. I would advocate to invest in discounts and promotions periodically,
which will also add to reputation in the market and aid to the revenue growth.

Firstly, companies have to spend on advertisements to promote their discounts

and special offers. Once the advertising campaign is successful, customers
would be lured to purchase the product and consequently enhancing the
reputation of the company. For an instance, Nestle promotes their noodles
with discount on price, would attract customers to buy the product as
compared to the other product in the same segment. This will createan
influx in revenue during that period and also contribute to the reputation of
the company.

Moreover, some start-up companies hit the market hard with offers to launch
their products, in turn, creating an influx of revenue which will utilize for the
growth of the company. This exemplifies that investing on offers and discounts
contributes to the revenue generation.

Overall, we can say that discounts and offers not only promotes the reputation
of the company, but also is an avenue to generate revenue for future plans of
the company.

Foreign language instruction should begin in kindergarten. Discuss.

As one of the adage goes, “The limits of my language are the limits of my
world.” Indeed, the ability to speak several languages is considered one of the
hallmarks of a cultured person. From this perspective, foreign language
instruction should begin as early as possible in order to achieve near-native
fluency. The reasons behind this approach are intellectual, social and
professional.

Intellectually, learning a foreign language at a young age enables children to

develop their brain. At this age, children’s minds are like sponges and their
capacities are limitless. They have less inhibition or biases against learning
different subjects. They can learn one, two or three languages without
confusion; it would only serve to expand their minds. Therefore, it is ideal to
start teaching a foreign language in kindergarten.

Socially, learning a foreign language enables the young child to enter a wider
cultural world. By learning to speak, think and understand a different language,
the child develops greater cross-cultural awareness. This critical ability enables
the child to make friends with, identify with and empathize with others who
speak the additional language.

Professionally, by learning a foreign language in kindergarten, the child

expands his/her future career horizons. In today’s increasingly globalized
world, bilingual and multilingual individuals are in high demand. The child who
achieves this fluency naturally and easily at a young age already has an edge
over others in the job market.

In summary, numerous benefits flow from teaching a foreign language from

kindergarten. The child will most likely grow up to thank those who made such
a learning experience possible.

Shopping malls

Large malls are spreading their wings all around the globe by replacing
traditional small shops. It is becoming apparent in all urban areas. It is agreed
that mall culture should be promoted, but not at the cost of small shops.. This
will be analyzed by looking at how convenience and economic benefits has
made them the preferred choice of customers.

To begin with, infrastructure of big malls facilitates consumers to shop

conveniently. Malls are equipped with large parking spaces, lavatories, food
courts and entertainment arenas which make them desirable than small shops.
One can spend an entire day with their friends and family as there is something
for everyone. Considering all this, it is clear that the mall would be preferred
over the shops.

Moreover, malls are good for the economy as they generate employment
opportunities and generate more income. For instance, the availability of a
variety of products at the same place attract more people. This proves why
they are replacing small shops. From this, one can conclude that an uptrend in
mall culture is definitely better.

This analysis proves that the economic benefits and ease of shopping
experience have made malls desirable over traditional shops. In a nut shell,
albeit the benefits of the small shops, advantages of malls outweigh them.

Law can change human behaviour

Laws are an inevitable part of a society, they are required to keep the society
and country in order, harmony rather than vandalize everything in chaos.
However, there are positive as well as negative impingements of imposing
laws. This will be analyzed before any conclusion is derived.

Firstly, countries which follow the law stringently has a low crime rate.
Considering Singapore, where smuggling of drugs is indefensible felony and
leads to the death penalty which in turn creates fear among the people and
restricts the execution of such illegal activities. This exemplifies that law
impacts the human behaviour.

However, enforcing laws can place limits on the behavior of people, it really
never can change the human nature which is immutable. This seems to be a
very plausible point if it is thought superficially, but peruse the study of human
nature and history might prove things otherwise. For an instance, people who
are negatively impacted by law or been considered disparaging or derogatory
by society resist to be part of the society and may egregiously act against the
laws engendering harm to the lives of people.
To summarize, the law should be imposed considering the positive as well as
negative impact on human behavior. It has been proven that many countries
use this as a tool to reform. It is expected that lawmakers will continue to use
it for the betterment of the society.

Illiterate of 21st century

The advancement of the contemporary era has literally changed the definition
of literacy. With rapid technological changes, it has become imperative to
adapt new skills and dump the obsolete. It is agreed that to stay relevant to
the constantly changing environment one must not only know how to read and
write, but also need to know how to learn, unlearn and relearn. This essay will
discuss compelling reasons to accord the rubric.

Firstly, innovative inventions is changing the way we do things. For an

instance, computers Operating System’s started with DOS and recently an
upgraded version -Windows 10 has been released. It was mandatory for an
individual to unlearn DOS and learn and relearn the upgraded versions to stay
afloat in the Sea of Changes.

Moreover, to stay relevant with the technology, it has become essential to

keep on learning constantly. The latest innovation in telecom sector - smart
phones with advanced cameras and multi-tasking features lured people to buy
it and imposed them to learn and relearn the new features of the new phones.
This exemplifies that to be known as literate in this century, one must
repeatedly update the learning process.

This analysis proves that to be relevant of this era of regular inventions,

embracing the changes is the mantra of life. In a nutshell, those open to learn,
unlearn, and relearn will be the new literates and it is expected to persist in
upcoming decades.

Company’s top level employees

In today's competitive world, it has become essential for all organizations to do

their best in every sphere of their business. Innovations and new ideas have
become, somewhat indispensable to be able to remain as a part of the
competition. Now, the question is who in the organization should take part in
making the business survive?
Many higher level authorities feel that employees should be utilized for doing
what they are hired for. On the contrary, others want to push them to
responsible positions of decision making. Both sides will be critiqued before
reasoned conclusion is found.

Today, many hold the idea that employee’s involvement in the decision making
process may hamper the growth or the reputation of the company.
Management has a belief that taking ideas and suggestion from everybody
would only lead to chaos. Employees may provide suggestions having personal
interest, which could be harmful for the company. Also, any unhedged risk may
lead to substantial losses. This proves that only mature managers should
participate in the decision making process.

Conversely, involving employees in the process may dig out the hidden talent
or skill for the benefit of the company. Often employees deal directly with the
clients and know exactly their requirements. This aids to decide the best
avenue to comply with the clients demand and what initiatives will enhance
the client relationship eventually leading to the growth of the organization.
Thus, authorities should back employees and push them in a role in decision
making.

Overall, after diligently analyzing these two points, it is believed that employee
participation in decision making with the support of management is a
beneficiary to the company. Advantages of employee involvement in decision
making outweigh the disadvantages.
People spend more time at work

Balanced lifestyle is key to happiness. Modern lifestyle has disrupted the work-
life balance. People spend most of their time at work and can't dedicate any
time for their personal life. On one hand, people work for long hours by
compromising personal life and others propagate work life balance. Both
arguments will be weighed prior to reaching any conclusion.

Today, many people work strenuously for long hours and do not find time for
themselves as well as family. For example, a few years ago, an intern, aged 22,
working for an investment bank died as he could not get time to recuperate
from his work load. It goes without saying that extending oneself too much can
jeopardize ones personal life. Thus the idea of compromising on personal time
to work extra hours will lead to deteriorating health and life.

Conversely, some proponents support work-life balance. One of the research

done says that men who spend or manage time on personal life and social life
is more productive and happy. It is easy to understand why this argument has
garnered more support.
After diligently analyzing both views, one can conclude that a balanced
approach to health , profession, family and personal life will ensure a healthy
life. Simply by learning to manage time we can live a stress free life. Hence we
need to understand that profession is part of life, not the other way round.

Environment and pollution

No one can overlay the fact that the planet we live on is a serious threat.
Humans are responsible for a variety of environmental problems, but we can
also take steps to reduce the damage that we are causing to the planet. This
essay will discuss environmental problems and the measures that governments
and individuals can take to address these problems.

The environment is afflicted by two main reason, i.e. air pollution and waste.
Firstly, rapid industrialization has led to massive deforestation. Secondly
urbanization of rural areas to support industries has augmented the emission
of CO2 leading to Global Warming, which may have devastating effect on
planet in future. As human population increases, we are also producing ever
greater quantities of waste which contaminates the earth and pollutes rivers
and oceans.

Government, corporations and individuals should work in close proximity to

reduce the impact of this issue. Government can design and implement strict
laws against air polluters. Companies should produce recyclable and eco-
friendly products. As an individual, we should move towards adapting organic
lifestyle.

In a nutshell, we are the reason for this mess and we need to take measures
collectively to live in harmony with nature. Hence governments and individuals
must play their part in looking after the environment.

Celebrities

Today, many youngsters follow celebrities like sports stars and film stars as
their role models. This can be seen all over social media. It is disagreed to
follow them and this will be considered by taking into account immoral acts of
sports personalities and derogatory roles played by film stars.

To begin with, recently many cases have been published of athletes using
illegal power boosters like drugs or steroids. This impacts negatively on the
minds of his/her follower. For an instance, Lance Armstrong, winner of several
Tour de France races, was found guilty of using performance enhancing drugs.
Hence youngsters should be discouraged to follow such sports star.

Secondly, film stars only show their façade to public and not their real life. It is
also seen glamorous film stars playing derogatory roles in movies. For an
instance, Sanjay Dutt, an Indian actor has played roles of mafia or villain, taking
drugs, robbing banks and living a lavish lifestyle. This sets a bad example for
adolescents. Also, he has been found guilty in the court of law, for some illegal
activity. This exemplifies that such film stars should not be a role model.
Youngsters admiration of these personalities should not be supported.

On the other hand, we also see celebrities doing charity and have inspirational
talent to showcase. This analysis proves that all successful celebrities may not
be role models. In a nutshell, youngsters should not follow this jazzy
personality blindly. It is recommended to teach youth to follow virtuous
characters.

Dangerous sports

Today extreme sports are making headlines either for making world records or
for creating awareness about the potential danger. Banning the sport is
strongly disagreed as it deprive an athlete from freedom to choose from and it
is also deterring for the economy.

To start with, in today’s liberal world, a person has freedom to choose his
sport or recreational activities. It is seen that smoking and drinking are major
causes of death and yet they are not banned. On the contrary, skiing and
rafting has reported few casualties. This exemplifies that depriving players
from their passion is unfair.

Moreover, as these sports are a niche industry, it attracts many spectators

from around the world and it contributes to the revenue of the economy. For
an instance, mountain bike championship in NZ attracts many tourists, which
creates an influx of revenue for the economy. This exemplifies that,
government should promote and support such sports and clearly outline the
safety guidelines for the participants.

It has now been shown that banning extreme sports will deprive athlete and
economy of their respective benefits. It can be concluded that rather than
imposing ban on such sports, financial and infrastructural assistance should be
provided for safety measures.
Place and success

Undeniably person’s vicinity plays vital role in molding his success. This has
been seen in many metro cities in the world. Native environment plays a
detrimental role in inculcating traits such as leadership, social skills, etc.
Conclusion will be derived on the basis of the analysis done considering the
amenities and infrastructural development of the region.

Many people travel far-off from their native in search of conducive

environment which will aid in achieving their goals. Arnold Swarzzenegger, one
of the greatest body builder/actor is from Austria. However, he was not
supported by the infrastructure during his adolescent years to accomplish his
dreams. Consequently, he had to relocate to Venice, California, which was
considered as the Mecca of body builders. Today, he is an icon for aspiring
body builders. This clearly shows that lack of amenities is a huge obstacle and
hence people have to move away from their natives.

Moreover, development of place goes hand in hand with success. For an

instance, if a person who wants to be an entrepreneur and if the place is
underdeveloped to provide him wherewithal like appropriate funds or skills
required, then he has to look for the place where he can get enough support to
fulfill his ambitions. Dhirubhai Ambani, a famous Indian businessman achieved
all his success only after relocating from his home town. While moving to
different places he learnt different people and various skills which he was not
aware of at his native place. And these new learnings helped him rule the
business world. Hence, to accomplish goals, place where person grows up
plays very crucial role.

These analyses clearly states that amenities and development in a crucial

ingredient for achieving successful goals. In a nutshell, there is a strong
correlation between persons vicinity and fulfillment of his goals.

Over packaging

Over packaging is a clever tactic that many manufacturers employ to make

their products look attractive. There are analysts who hold the opinion that
over packaged food should not be avoided while another group believe that it
should be avoided. In this essay, assertions will be given for both the side of
contention before deducing a reasonable conclusion.

Firstly, over packaging is favored by some people as they are of opinion that it
keeps food products fresh and edible. For example, some biscuit
manufacturers place biscuits in small plastic tray and covered with multiple
layers of packets. This keeps the biscuits fresh and crispy albeit of the long
transition phase till it reaches consumers.
In these cases the manufacturers reason for over packing products seems
liable.

On the other side, people believe that over packaging is not a benign practice.
It does not help anyone except the manufacturer. Over packaging hurts the
consumer and the environment. Wastefully packaged boxes take up a lot more
space than necessary in shipping trucks. As a result, to carry the same amount
of cargo, trucks have to make more trips. This results in the wastage of energy,
materials and manpower. Paper is the most common material used for
packaging. This has led to deforestation. . All the materials used for packaging
will eventually end up in landfills, creating problem like global warming and air
pollution.

To conclude, the negative impact of the over packaging outweighs the positive
side. Hence, a consumer should stop buying and manufacturers should
consider the environmental impact and redefine the alternatives.

Mass media and impact

Mass Media is a mighty informative weapon of the modern epoch. Every day
people all over the world watch TV, read newspapers, listen to the radio and
use Internet and this way perceive information, widespread by the mass
media. It has significantly changed our cognitive pattern. This is very apparent
in our daily lives and surroundings. People’s ideology has been massively
influenced by TV and new papers. The impact of this media will be analyzed to
deduce the conclusion

Firstly, we see the advertisements of cigarettes, alcohol, junk food products

being consumed by attractive celebrities. These create a positive connotation
in the minds of children. They feel that consuming these products is
fashionable and useful. In addition, the idea of slim and sporty bodies creates a
controversy in the minds of children. Advertisements of thin women and
athletic men create unrealistic perceptions, which can finally result in nervous
exhaustion. This show the negative impact mass media leaves on the youth's
mind.

Secondly, violence or action sequences shown in movies or series or sports

shows like Wrestling lead to aggressive and anti-social behavior. Research has
proven that prolonged exposure to this show, people become less sensitive to
violence, to its victims, and to its consequences. All this exemplifies that
person's behavior changes considerably due to exposure to the content of
mass media.

In a nutshell, there is a strong correlation between mass media and people’s

ideology.

Parents' responsibility for children

Often kids behave in an unacceptable manner, sometimes in a way that is not

taught by parents. It leads to a moot question that “Who is responsible for it?”
Since, several studies on developmental psychology have led to the
observation that a child’s mind is like a blank slate. So I believe parent’s should
ne responsible for their child’s act. By taking this into account, we will analyze
who kid’s learn things by observing and from the teaching of their parents.

Firstly, it is said that, children are like sponge, they absorb and imitate
everything they observe. Ideally, during development stage, children learn
language, culture and manners by observing their parents. If in case, if a parent
is abusive or alcoholic, chances are very high for child to imitate and behave
similarly at a later stage. This shows that parents are responsible for the child’s
actions.

Secondly, it is the parents responsibility to teach basic mannerisms, discipline

and law. There are many incidences of a youth shoot out at schools or colleges
in the US. It is the parent's responsibility to instill them with good morals and
to know the difference between right and wrong. Parents also maintain the
ability to enforce their rules while their children live in their household and
their rules should include not breaking the law.

This shows that there is an obvious link between parents' behavior and
children’s act.

Only thing interfere is my education

Education is a systematic study of various subjects. This may constrain person's

learning ability due to its limited scope of teaching. It is agreed that education
is a hindrance to ones learning. This will be shown by analyzing the limited
scope of teaching and inability to cater to an individual's interest.
To begin with, since historical times, the scope of education is confined to text
books and teachers' understanding. For an instance, engineering students are
given textbooks and teachers teach them the functioning of the machines. This
restricts 'out of box' thinking and the pupil's ability to go beyond the scope of
their degree. Looking at this, it is obvious that the education system is limited
to the boundaries. Thus, Einstein meant that education did not encourage him
to reach his maximum potential.

Furthermore, every individual is unique. Students' are inclined to various

subjects which are not offered in standard schools. Consequently, they have to
wait till they acquire minimum compulsory education till they get to learn their
subject of interest. For example, a student who is interested in sculpting has
little scope in standard school and has to learn other subjects that is of less
interest to him. This clarifies that schools can only provide basic and standard
education which is a hindrance in students' growth.

This analysis proves that confined scope and standardized pattern of teaching
is a big obstacle in the process of learning. In a nutshell, education definitely
interferes with persons' learning.

War of idea ppl get killed
Man being a social animal usually prefers to belong to a group. Sometime
personal ideas may vary from that of the group. It is agreed that common man
suffers from group's ideology. Many groups with fringe ideas forces a common
man to act in the group's interest and deprive him of his liberty.

It is felt by many that the common man is often searing from the heat caused
by group's ideology. This has been apparent since time immemorial. For
example, in 1960, America's ruling party congress was anti communist and
decided to send its troops to support Vietnam's democratic party. Many
common Americans were forced to join military to participate in this war. It
goes without saying in spite of the person's unwillingness to follow the group,
he has to be a victim of the group's ideology.

Moreover, war stemming from various ideologies deprives a person of his

liberty. In a recent case of the Islamic State, few people with extreme ideology
killed innocent people in the name of religion. People living in Islamic States
invaded areas have to act according to these people's fringe ideologies where
a common man, who has nothing to do with it, is being killed ruthlessly. Thus
an argument in support of rubric is difficult to debunk.

In a nutshell, wars of ideas compel a common man to act against his will as
well as take his freedom from him. Henceforth, the general public has to pay a
heavy price for group ideology. As long as group work in their self interest, this
trend is unlikely to dissipate.

Fomal written education

Many students’ dislike exams. Without a doubt, formal written examination is
used widely as assessment criteria, however, this is refuted by many on the
grounds that it tests only memory. Both sides will be critiqued before reasoned
conclusion is found.

To begin with, the majority of the educators believes that written examinations
are the only assessment criteria to test students' skills. These types of exam
can test students' ability to perform in a strict time frame. For example, pupils
study all round the year and his response to written examination act as a proof
of his knowledge of the matter. Thus, this is considered a best approach to
check one's credibility.

On the other hand, this assessment style is vulnerable to cheating, fraud and
human error. Students' use variety of methods to cheat and they may move
above their peers. Furthermore, often exams get rescheduled because of
paper leak. Many students' send their papers to re-check and bribe the
examiners if they are not happy with the mark.

So to sum up, schools must adapt holistic approach and written assessments
should be a part of it.

English is dominant language

In today's era, English is most prevalent language around the world. It is most
preferred language of communication by a majority of the international
players. It is believed that throughout the globalization, English will remain as
the most dominant language as it is the second language of most of the world's
population and it symbolizes advancement.
To begin with, over a billion people use English daily as their second language
and it is proliferating. For example, countries with the highest population,
namely, China and India use English in key sectors such as education and
business, which is the nucleus of the country. This clearly exemplifies a
dramatic uptrend in upcoming years. From this, it can be said that English will
be the most powerful international language.

Moreover, since the majority of developed nations has English as primary

language, in developing countries it has a symbol of advancement. For an
instance, majority of company's originated in English speaking countries and
operate internationally. To trade with them, it is necessary to speak in their
language. This example, evidently proves that English will be the lynchpin of
globalization English.

These analyses prove that, firstly the dominance of advanced nations and
secondly the use of English as a language education has made it primarily
international language. It has now been shown that in the coming centuries,
the English language will dominate the world's trade. To summarize, we can
predict that English and globalization will always show a positive correlation.

Get married

Many people get married before completing their studies or before getting
settled in their career. It is apparent in universities and offices. It is argued that
this can be arduous at times. This will be shown by how it can afflict an
individual’s academic and unestablished employment.

To begin with, responsibility of a spouse can augment persons chore to a

greater degree. For an instance, a married person has to take out some time
out of his academic schedule to spend with his spouse, whereas a single
person can focus on his studies and can achieve higher scores. Looking at this,
it is clear that marriage is a hindrance in a student’s life. It is better to delay
marriage and concentrate on studies

Furthermore, initial stages of work life is usually gruelling. One has to spend a
considerable amount of time to establish himself in a good position. There are
possibilities of travelling to different locations or branches. If the spouse is
dependent, then it becomes difficult to cater the demand of the work place.
Looking at this example, it can be said that getting married before settling on a
job is not a good decision.

These analyses prove that, it’s beneficial to complete studies and get a stable
job before getting married. As an adage goes, “ a person trying to catch two
hares, catches none”. In a nutshell, it is recommended that one should manage
his own life before adding the responsibility of a spouse.

Talk about the pros/cons of this era as is full of daily invention

In this modern era, everyday new innovative inventions are made which
benefit human beings and society. Let us discuss the merits and demerits of
the inventions that is used in our day-to-day life.

Undeniably, it can be said that invented innovative products have benefitted a

lot to human race. Due to escalating inflation and change in the demographic
structure of educational paradigm, both men and women are working in
MNC’s and corporates to live a lavish lifestyle. To manage their time for
executing their daily household chores, they use refrigerator, washing
machine, grinder, flour mill, etc. As a result, these inventions have helped them
to complete their tasks easily, quickly and without any hassle. However, the
life of people has become dependent on this newly invented machines. If some
or the other machine fails functionally, there are no alternatives and people
have to struggle to complete their chores.

Moreover, communication has become very easy using email and chat
software, especially due to its accessibility on smart phones. However, this has
made people less active and more stressed. Traditional form of mails, letters
has almost vanished and people spend more time on social media than
meeting people and friends. As a result, people are getting dependent on
internet.

To conclude, the invention in various areas in the 21st century has

revolutionized the person's life in a day-to-day basis with numerous benefits,
however there are also drastic effects of this technology. I hope that inventions
will continue in the future and cannot be retrained, but we should see that we
are using these innovative invention products in moderate amounts.
