DISCIPLINARY PROCEDURE FOR STUDENTS (TEACHERS’ VERSION)

Give non-verbal hand signals (to listen, to focus, etc.)

Say student’s name
Point to class rules
Comment on other students who are on task
Pizza points/stickers withheld
Temporary seat change
Private conversation (teacher-student)

Brief time-out with an assignment (in the DoS office or front office)

Get the admin to phone parent to have a chat about the students’
behaviour – NOT to change the group

Get admin to arrange a meeting with the parents (Academic

Manager, teacher and parents)
