Q1 Why is it important to conduct interview in a selection process? Develop a list of selection tests
and types of interviews that you would suggest your manger to hire a Research Analyst.

Q3 Imagine you have been asked to design a training workshop for a group of people who have
been recruited recently for the floor level operations of the company. How will you proceed?

Q4 Colgomex is a large consumer products company. The incumbent CEO of the company left and
Mr. Chatterzi, who was second in command to be CEO took over as CEO of the company. Mr.
Rajesh Talwar is a senior executive in the company and has his own views. He has after all been in
the business for a decade and a half and he think he knows how to tackle the slump the industry is
going through. He did not waste any time and talked to the new CEO. Eventually in one of the
suggestions he recommended job design and redesign to bring positive change in company.

1. Do you think the CEO has taken Mr Talwar suggestions seriously? If yes, then why? (1 Mark)
2. What are the main components of job design? (2 Marks)
3. What challenges company may face in near future due to job redesign? What strategies must be
followed for smooth transitioning? (2 Marks)
