Stay Connected

“And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s

love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our
fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers
of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or
in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to
separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our
Lord.”
Romans 8:38-39 NLT

- Look at your neighbor and say “Stay Connected!”

- Its important in life to make connections
• Some of y’all have friends simply because they are connected to something that
you want access to • We join Greek organizations (sororities and fraternities) for
the connections they can bring us in life

• Some of us have cell phones through verizon wireless because they have the
BEST connection! Even tho they cost the most

• Relationships are a form of connection

- Some of y’all out there have multiple connections! Uh-oh!
• Connection: a relationship in which a person, thing, or idea is linked or associated
with something else.

- Also, people with whom one has social or professional contact or to whom
one is related, especially those with influence and able to offer one help.

- But the most important connection of all is being connected to God!

- Your connection to God is more important than anything else you could ever
be connected to!

STAY CONNECTED TO GOD!

- Now, I have to make it plain!

- If you aren’t connected to God, then you are NOT CONNECTED TO GOD!
• There is no middle ground!
- This means you are making Flesh/Carnal decisions!
- It may not seem like a big deal now, but it will when you are dealing with the
consequences of making flesh/Carnal decisions!

• It’s either a God decision or it’s NOT a God decision

• God has brought you this far, don’t miss what He has planned for you because you
think you got a better idea!

▪ The shear thought of that is crazy

▪ Do you honestly think you could have a better idea than God???

- He has already walked out your footsteps! Stay connected

- Paul talks about this in todays text and I want to visit a few points (just 3) to
encourage us and we are gonna get to this Chili!!!

- Stay Connected!
- WHY?
• 1. For the GLORY THATS ON THE WAY!

- “Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us
later.” Romans 8:18 NLT

• I’m crazy enough to believe that Paul is not just talking about heaven!
• I got some blessings laid out for me that are on the way! If I just stay
connected!

• Literally, what you are going thru is nothing compared to what’s coming!!
• What’s coming is better than what’s been!
• We can praise God right there!!!
• I believe I’m talking to some folks that believe better days are coming!
• STAY CONNECTED!!!
- WHY?
• 2. Because there is NO ONE GREATER!!!
- I don’t care what you are connected to on earth, nothing tops GOD!!
- “What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is
for us, who can ever be against us?

• This isn’t even the part that really gets me!! This next verse is!

- Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t
he also give us everything else?” Romans 8:31-32 NLT

• God looked at you and said, “my sons death is worth your life!”
• If He gave His son up for you, what else could possibly be out of reach!?
- He’s greater than the world against you!!
- look at your neighbor and say, “you betta stay connected!”
- WHY?
• 3. Because He STILL loves you!
- You mean to tell me, after all that I’ve done, He still loves me!!
- Not only does He STILL love you but He didnt allow anything to keep
you from having access to Him!

• Let’s work this for a minute!

• He loves you so much, that He didn’t even allow His son, Bleeding and
suffering on the cross, stop Him from Allowing Him to die to give you access to
Him!

• Optional access!
- We have free will!
- I wish you would deny me after making such a great sacrifice!!!
- I cant think of any other connection you can have that will hold on to their
end after you have done wrong so many times!

• This makes my God worth staying connected to!

- I feel in my spirit that this is a season of discomfort for a lot of people. But stay
connected!

• A lot of unknowns in your life

• But I’m here to tell you today that there is a BLESSING in your
DISCOMFORT!

- I beg you, don’t ask God to move the mountain! Ask Him for strength to climb!
- I don’t know who I’m talking to but I promise you, this trial is vital to your success!

- This issue is the catalyst to your promotion!

- This mountain is the pathway to the answer to your prayers!!
- This struggle is going to unlock your blessing!
• Y’all better get FOCUSED!
- Stay CONNECTED!! This isn’t the time to disconnect from God!
- Don’t miss what He’s trying to do thru you or you will miss what He’s trying to do
for you!!

• Staying connected to God will help you make the right decisions during this time in
your life!

• Did I ever tell y’all about the $752.00 burger from Wendy’s? - If I would have
stayed connected to what I knew was right, instead of what was convenient or
comfortable, I wouldn’t have had to go thru that!

- Which is the last reason I have for you to stay connected!

- Because He has a plan! And if God be for you...
- I wanna pray for you that we stay connected to Him and His will for our life
- That we are able to block out the noise and focus on God
- Block out yalls silly president
- Block out the stress and worry that consumes and dictates our day
- Focus on the connection you have to your heavenly father!
