Dear Mr. Dunlap,

Thank you for letting Hamna do the diversity walk at our school. This walk showed me
that I have a lot in common with people in my class and around the school. I didn’t
know and now I do. We all had more in common even if we don’t look the same and we
aren’t all friends.

I do feel bad for the people who have worser stuff in there life then me. Some people
stepped up to the line when they talked about skipping diner. I have never had to skip
my diner even though my family is poor. My mom works at night but she still makes
sure I have something to eat.

Ms. Robinson has worked with us to keep working to understand how much we are alike
and how much we are different to. I want to know how we can do other stuff around the
school to make sure that people feel like this is a family. I know this is a family because
we have teachers that care about us like Ms. Robinson, Ms. Reger, Ms. Small, and you. I
also know that this is a family because we have friends that care about us like Hamna
when she worked with Ms. Robinson to make sure that we did something at school to
increase our awareness as a school and take a stance and action.

What do you think it will take to make our school even better? Please right me back
because I want to keep doing stuff to take action.

Signed,
