FAITH FORMATION
GRADES 1-5 RELIGIOUS EDUCATION
Ongoing registration is available throughout the summer. You can pick
up a registration form in the parish office lobby area.
Teaching Teams Required and Needed: Grade 1 is in need of two
teaching teams; Grade 2 is in need of 1 teaching team; Grade 3 is in need
of 3 teaching teams; Grade 4 is in need of 2.5 teaching teams and Grade 5

teams when we begin in the fall will be provided with home school
materials until teaching teams step forward.

Catholic Charities will hold its first ever Special Events Training and

will be working with the various fund-raising events for the Chattanooga,

operating across East TN including the Crazy Quilt Center in Newcomb

DIOCESE AND DEANERY
The Merry Widows will meet Tues., Aug. 5th at Aubrey’s at 6005
Brookvale Lane at 12 noon for lunch and fellowship. We are a group of
senior women who have been widowed. We also welcome widowers.

RCIA: The Heart of the Parish: Saturday, Aug. 23 from 9am-3:30pm
at St. Thomas, Lenoir City. The main speaker will be Sister Gael
Gensler, OSF. The conference is provided for parish initiation teams,
sponsors, and other interested persons. Come and learn about your role
in welcoming and preparing inquirers into our Catholic faith. Please

There will be an information night for Marriage Encounter on August
9th, after the 5pm mass in the parish hall. The session will be hosted by
Deacon Bob L. and his wife, Janel. Snacks and child care will be

OTHER
FOSTER CARE. Currently East Tennessee is in a major shortage for
foster parents. This shortage is causing a crisis within the state of
Tennessee. A great number of children need healthy homes, and healthy
role models to heal the wounds that were inflicted upon them. They need
to live in a home with parents that can teach them independent living
skills, so they can become functioning people in society. Please contact
one of the local foster care agencies if you can offer a loving home for
any of these children and to obtain more details.
