INTRODUCTION:

Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder is (TDAH) can be defined as a

developmental disorder that affects the psychosocial development of the person
who has it, reaching to influence academic issues, family and even self-esteem.

The origins of TDAH are multifactorial, so it is influenced by psychosocial,

genetic, environmental or neurological factors.

It is believed that there is an association between TDAH and the dopamine

encoder gene, DRD4, due to its polymorphic variation producing a deficit in
dopamine transport.

Although this disorder is divided into 3 subtypes, it varies with respect to the
age group and the individual, giving a unique character to each case that
occurs, however, attention deficit remains the common point.

It is not uncommon to associate depressive symptoms with such a disorder,

since depressive symptoms and heightened emotions predominate at this stage
of life, can cause a global commitment to the personal functioning of each
individual.

Within the main characteristics we find the lack of interest, dissimilar symptoms,
irritability, marked negativity, social withdrawal and decrease of self-esteem,
sadness, feelings of emptiness.
