ORACIÓN DE CONFESIÓN DE PECADOS (Call to Worship: P. 139)

Todos/as: Dios de luz, en quien no puede habitar la oscuridad: venimos a ti en gozo…
pero también temblando porque sabemos que la oscuridad habita en nosotros/as. No
podemos esconder nuestra cobardía, nuestra superficialidad o los resentimientos que
tenemos contra otras personas. Te confesamos nuestra capacidad de engañar, nuestra
voluntariedad y nuestro deseo de evitar ver el dolor y el sufrimiento de los/as demás.
Maravilloso Consejero, ilumina lo que necesite ser revelado. Saca de nosotros/as
nuestro pecado, como la luz saca la oscuridad. Vive en nosotros/as, para que podamos
vivir para ti. En el nombre de Cristo oramos. Amén.

DECLARACIÓN DE PERDÓN (Let us pray p. 27-28 N. Graham Standish)

Pastor/a: La luz de Dios nos rodea y lo único que tenemos que hacer es abrir nuestros
ojos para verla. Cuando caminamos en fe, descubrimos que la luz de Dios brilla hasta en
los más oscuros rincones de nuestras vidas. Esto es como Jesús hace las cosas, quien en
los momentos más oscuros de su vida le dijo a Dios, «que no sea mi voluntad, sino la
tuya». Cuando vivimos la vida con esta clase de fe, descubrimos que al final, Dios ha
estado haciendo milagros a nuestro alrededor. Amigos y amigas, crean las buenas
nuevas del evangelio. Amén.

All: God of light, in whom no darkness can abide: We come to you in joy… but also in
trembling, for we know what darkness abides in us. We cannot conceal from you our
cowardice, our shallowness, the resentments we harbor against others. We confess
our capacity to deceive, our willfulness, our avoidance of others’ pain and suffering. O
Wonderful Counselor, illuminate what bears revealing. Cast out our sin, as light casts
our darkness. Live in us, that we might live for you.

DECLARATION OF FORGIVENESS (Let us pray p. 27-28 N. Graham Standish)

Minister: The light of God surrounds us, and all it takes is open eyes to see it. When
we walk in faith, we discover God’s light brightening even the darkest corners of our
lives. This is the way of Jesus, who in the darkest moments of his life said to God, “Not
my will, but thy will be done.” When we live life with this kind of faith, we discover in
the end that God has been working wonders all around us. Friends, believe the good
news of the gospel. Amen.
