10 *Instructional Input or Procedure
mins TTW use the smart board to go over the lesson using the Flipchart

2 *Modeling
mins TTW go over different patterns and review how to solve them. TTW demonstrate on the
Smartboard how to find core and how to continue the pattern

3-5 *Check for Understanding

mins TSW use their whiteboards and markers to answer questions, first identifying the core
and then by continuing the pattern. TSW identity the rule of the pattern.

3-5 *Guided Practice

mins TTW go over any questions that seem to be a bit challenging for the students. TTW help
the student identify the core and the rule before continuing the pattern. TTW choose
students to go up to the board to do various parts such as identifying the core or
continuing the pattern.
10 *Independent Practice
mins TSW complete Quizziz on their Chromebook, showing the teacher what their score was.
TSW then take different blocks to create different patterns and recreate them on paper
1-2 *Closure
mins TTW review how to find the core and the rule.

Differentiation Strategies (enrichment, accommodations, remediation, or by learning style).

During the “Check for Understanding” portion, TTW identify which students may be struggling
with patterns. TTW pull the students to the back to go over different aspects and to explain things
a bit better. TTW use blocks to create patterns for the students to identify the core and the rule.
TTW use a whiteboard to draw different patterns for the students to continue the pattern. The
other students will be working on their Quizzizz as well as their other independent work
Classroom Management Issues (optional)
TTW use callbacks to keep the students attention when they begin to lose their focus
TTW commend those who are paying attention and responding to the questions
TTW call different students to answer questions to ensure that students are paying attention
Lesson Critique. To be completed following the lesson. Did your students meet the objective(s)? What part
of the lesson would you change? Why?
