DAILY WORK DONE (Electrical)

1-09-2019

 Daily round and routine mantainence work carried out.

 ECR AC condenser was cleaned. Found working satisfactory.
 Intrinsically safe Torch was reported not working properly. After all repair work, torch
was found working satisfactory.
 Purifier Control panel’s different push button found damaged, problem resolved buttons
found working satisfactory.
 Accommodation two in number tube lights changed along with starter.
 Galley one in number tube light changed along with holder and starter.

 Daily round and routine mantainence work carried out.

 Purifier Supply pump #2 start button found broken. New start button installed found
working satisfactory.
 COP platform one in number tube light changed along with starter.
 Out pass bulbs found broken changed accordingly.
 Navigation bridge outer pass port side bulb found broken which was replaced with new
one. Found working satisfactory.
 I.G Blower#1 outer valve wire was found with weak insulation. New insulation installed.
 Navigation bridge fixed VHF hand set button was reported to be not working properly,
when checked its contacts were found rusted. After repair work VHF tested and found
working satisfactory.
 M/E L.O pump motor’s bearings were greased.
 M/E L.O sump tank float switch wire’s insulation was found weaken, which was
corrected.

 Daily round and routine mantainence work carried out.

 Assist in cargo operation.
 A/E#1 control air regulator drain glass was found broken. New drain glass was installed
and found working satisfactory.
 Galley hot plates were reported not working, when checked it was found that main
breaker was tripped. All hot plate insulation was checked and lose wire tighten. After all
work hot plates were found working satisfactory.

 Daily round and routine mantainence work carried out.

 Stand by attended for departure from Karachi port (Op-1).
 Aux BLR#1 igniter was malfunctioning. Wire from HE transformer to igniter was found
not working. New HE wire was installed (spare consumed). Boiler was found working
satisfactory.
 Generator platform one in number tube light changed along with holder and starters.
 MGPS no flow detected after clearing strainer and line. Flow meter differential pressure
setting was found with error (work in progress).

 Daily round and routine mantainence work carried out.

 Aux BLR#1 HE cable which was installed last day was properly secured using cable ties.
 Accommodation A/C maintenance carried out. Evaporator filter found dirty, cleaned and
fitted back accordingly.
 Galley disposer and meat chopper wiring were found loosen which were tightened.
Found working satisfactory.
 Work on MGPS carried out differential setting through LP and HP lines carried out still
no flow detected (work in Progress).
 Bridge VDR AC backup Error received. (work in Progress).
 Spare store cleaned.

 Assist in bunker operation.
 Stand by attended for departure from Fujairah anchor.
 Main air compressor #01 panel maintenance carried out.
 2 in No’s Tube lights changed in E/R.

8-09-2019

 Daily round and routine mantainence work carried out.

 Saturday Routine carried out, weekly alarms as per PNSC PMS were checked and found
working satisfactory.
 MGPS line from anode to sea chest was found choked, which was cleared. Also low sea
chest valve seat was cleaned. Flow was found satisfactory but issue in flow meter LP and
HP settings (work in progress).
 Life boat#2 both batteries charged, found satisfactory.
 ECR AC gas charged, found working satisfactory.

 Daily round and routine mantainence work carried out.

 Stand by attended for arrival at Das Island Anchor.
 Accommodation AC evaporator filters cleaned.
 VSAT antenna base plate was made in workshop according to dimension layout provided
by maker.
 Ship’s X-band, S-band and ECIDS radar panel’s routine maintenance carried out.
 Fire and GS p/p motor electrical panel maintenance carried out.

 Daily round and routine mantainence work carried out.

 VSAT Antenna base plate was installed at pre-chosen site at Ship’s Monkey Island (port
side).
 VDR (not received info) alarm was attended all wires in main cabinet unit and power
supply unit checked also wires from CF card and Back card checked all found
satisfactory. Software issue found in CF card which is controlled by 3rd party/maker,
reported to concern officer accordingly.
 Main Air compressor#2 panel routine maintenance carried out.
11-09-2019

 Daily round and routine mantainence work carried out.

 Stand by attended for arrival at Das Island.
 Engine room hand blower was found not working, when checked its wiring was found
short, Fan was dismantled for checking of starting and running windings, also capacitor
was checked, after repair work all found satisfactory.
 Engine room (Vacuum condenser) 2 NOS tube lights changed along with both holders
and starters.
 Main sea water p/p #02 motor electrical panel maintenance carried out.

12-09-2019

 Daily round and routine mantainence work carried out.

 Stand by attended for departure from DAS Island.
 A/E#3 L.O IN temperature was found faulty. Fault in sensor was suspected when
checked sensor was found ok (work in progress).
 MGPS LP side of flow meter (from upper side) was found leaked which was causing
blockage in flow. Pipe was removed for making of new joint (work in progress).
 Steering Gear #01 and #02 motor electrical panel maintenance carried out. Insulation test
carried out all working satisfactory.

13-09-2019

 Daily round and routine mantainence work carried.

 Engine room hand blower (another one) was found not working, when checked its wiring
was found burned. New wiring was installed and blower was found working satisfactory.
 A/E#3 L.O IN temperature sensor was properly calibrated error was adjusted found
working satisfactory.
 Jacket water p/p #02 electrical panel maintenance carried out. All fixed and moving
contacts checked cleaned and fitted back. Megger test carried out all working
satisfactory
  MGPS new made joint was fitted at flow meter but still found some minor leakage which
was stopped. Finally MGPS flow meter was found working satisfactory.

 Daily round and routine mantainence work carried.

 Saturday routine carried out all safeties and emergency checked.
 Boiler #1 & #2 smoke lens, igniter and flame eye lens cleaned.
 Boiler #1 &#2 water level control valve lubrication carried out.
 IG O2 Analyzer sampling line filers changed line cleared and O2 Analyzer calibrated.

 Daily round and routine mantainence work carried.

 Hand Blower of E/R holding grip was found broken, new grip was installed found
working satisfactory.
 Hand Lamp new plug was installed, found working satisfactory.
 MGPS lines from sea chest and valve was found choked which was cleared, found
working satisfactory.
 UTI speaker wires were found broken new wires were soldered.
 Stand by attended for arrival at Karachi anchor.

 Daily round and routine mantainence work carried.

 Stand by attended for arrival at Karachi OP-1.
 Assist in cargo operation.
 Aux BLR-1 feed water valve was found not work properly which was causing sudden
increase/decrease in water level. When checked valve was found stuck which was cleared
with lubrication oil also operating valve manually. Found working satisfactory.
 O2 content were high, Aux BLR fuel air ratio, steam dumping and atomizing steam was
adjusted respectively for O2 content below 5%. Found satisfactory.

 Assist in cargo operation.
  Life boat-1&2 routine mantainence carried out for which limit switches were by-passed.
After all work all by-pass were back to normal. Found working satisfactory.
 I.G Blowers washing carried out after Stopping of cargo and IG system.

 ECR Air Conditioner Condenser found dirty (High Discharge) which was cleaned.AC
found working satisfactory.

19-09-2019

 Daily round and routine mantainence work carried.

 Bottom Platform one in number tube light changed.
 Galley one in number tube light changed.
 Fish room one in number tube light changed.
 Emergency Generator room one in number tube light changed.
 Boiler Platform 100w flood light installed.
 Aux Engine#03 Starting Air low alarm received. Pressure transmitter changed (spare
consumed). Working satisfactory
 Aux Engine#03 Alternator’s side maintenance carried out, all Filters Changed and Space
heater checked all working satisfactory.
 Hand lamp bulb was fused which was changed (60w).
 Spare store and tool box in workshop cleaned and rearranged.

20-09-2019

 Daily round and routine mantainence work carried.

 Hand lamp and Hand blower plug were found faulty which were changed; Found
working satisfactory.
 Galley disposer contactor contact’s were found not working properly contact were
cleaned. Found working satisfactory.
 Aux BLR-2 F D fan flaps checked for error. 3% error found in controller output and
actual opening of flaps.
  Boiler Aux Feed Water P/P Motor #01 and #02 electrical panel maintenance carried out.
Fixed and moving contacts cleaned. Insulation test carried out all working good.
 Port Side Life boat limit switch wire was found lose, which was tightened.

21-09-2019

 Daily round and routine mantainence work carried.

 Stand by attended for arrival at Das Island achor.
 Saturday routine carried out as per PMS; all weekly alarms test and battery log taken all
found satisfactory.
 X-band radar monitor fan alarm (MTR FAN) received. When checked issue was
suspected in fan, spare fans of monitor changed. Found working satisfactory.
 Water leakage from Aux Boiler-2 feed water control valve rectified after tightening found
working satisfactory.
 Boiler Feed Water P/P #01 and #02 electrical panel maintenance carried out. All fixed
and moving contacts checked cleaned and fitted back. Insulation test carried out all found
satisfactory.

 Daily round and routine mantainence work carried.

 Provision refer compressor oil changed.
 Bilge and Ballast p/p motor electrical panel maintenance carried out. All moving and
fixed contacts cleaned and insulation test carried out, all working satisfactory.
 Upper deck to A-deck stairway one in number tube light changed.
 Stand by attended for arrival at Das Island SPM.
 M/E exh v/v #01 and #02 motor electrical panel maintenance carried out. Insulation test
carried out all working good.

23-09-2019

 Daily round and routine mantainence work carried.

 Stand by attended for departure from Das Island SPM.
 Spare store one in number tube light changed along with starter.
 Navigation bridge one in number emergency tube light change.
 Navigation bridge I.G Alarm panel 4 NOS indication bulb changed ( Dc 28v).
 M/E AH & AS 3 way valve (10 & 11 number) lubricated.
  Work on new electrical starter panel for galley meat chopper motor (work in progress).

24-09-2019

 Daily round and routine mantainence work carried.

 B-deck accommodation 15w and 8w tube light changed.
 Bottom platform aft side 60w bulb changed.
 O2 analyzer I.G sample line cleaned and filter renewed.
 Accommodation water cooler thermostat was found faulty and gas was found low.
 Sludge pump motor contacts routine maintenance carried out.
 Spare store cleaned and rearranged.

25-09-2019

 Daily round and routine mantainence work carried.

 Pump room port side bilge alarm sensor fault rectified. After maintenance checked and
working satisfactory.
 Aux BLR-1 & 2 routine maintenance carried out, both boilers pilot burner igniter
serviced and flame eye cleaned. All smokes lenses of both boilers cleaned. Boilers found
working satisfactory.
 F.O and L.O purifier’s motors and Purifier Supply pump motor’s electrical panel
maintenance carried out.
 Fire and Life boat drill carried out.

26-09-2019

 Daily round and routine mantainence work carried.

 Navigation Bridge Radar #3 all wiring and junction box wirings were removed and
secured for the installation of communication box for Wi-Fi antenna.
 O2 analyzer calibrated and found satisfactory.
 Navigation Bridge roof ducting (selective) were removed for the installation of VSAT
antenna wiring.
 Engine room 100w bulb changed.
 Engine room hand lamp glass and bulb was found broken. New glass and bulb (100w)
changed, found working satisfactory.
 Stand by attended for arrival at Karachi anchor.

 Navigation Bridge all ducting removed for installation of VSAT antenna wiring.
 Stand by attended for arrival at Karachi port.

 Daily round and routine mantainence work carried.

 Cargo discharging in process
 VSAT antenna to CommBox power and communication cable, and Lan cable to C deck
was passed.
 VSAT integrated comm. Box (ICM) was installed on Navigation Bridge.
 Wi-Fi router was installed at C-deck.

 Bilge p/p motor electrical panel maintenance carried out.
 Doppler speed log was reported not working properly when checked issued was found in
power supply (work in progress).
 Officer mess room Toaster was reported not working when checked issue was found in
thermostat and heating coil after repair toaster was found working satisfactory.

 Daily round and routine mantainence work carried.

 Doppler speed log power supply issue was solved by giving power from alternative
electric source, found working satisfactory.
 All ducting of Navigation Bridge was fitted back.
 C-deck Wi-Fi router antenna transmitting power was increased to 100% (from 70%) to
increase range of Wi-Fi.
