Description
ZeomightyⓇ is a grayish powdered material that consists of zeolite containing ionic silver and
copper, which are active ingredients, and ground granulated blast furnace slag.

How It Works
It is known that Hydrogen Sulfide Gas released from wastewater into sewer atmosphere tends to
build up Sulfuric Acid by the activities of Sulfur-Oxidizing Bacteria, Thiobacillus thiooxidans, which
causes concrete corrosion. Zeomighty Ⓡ has the property of inhibiting the growth of
Sulfur-Oxidizing Bacteria, and corrosion caused by Sulfuric Acid derived from the bacteria can be
prevented by adding ZeomightyⓇ to the concrete used for sewer and wastewater treatment plant.

Advantage
1. Antimicrobial Efficacy
 ZeomightyⓇ was developed for concrete and mortar to add them antimicrobial effect by
way of mixing into their cement component.
 ZeomightyⓇ destructs bacteria or controls their proliferation on the surface of concrete
and mortar, and thus prevents or alleviates the damage they may cause.
 ZeomightyⓇ is composed of a variety of active ingredients effective against not only
Thiobacillus thiooxidans but also such bacteria harmful to human body as E. Coli,
Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and so on.
2. Safety & Long Life of Efficacy
 The safety of ZeomightyⓇ to human body is high. (Acute Oral Toxicity; LD50 > 2,000
mg/kg or more, Mutagenicity; Negative)
 Not having bad influence to the activated sludge bacillus used for wastewater treatment
plant. (The degree of COD biological breakdown; 96.0%)
 Zeomighty Ⓡ ’s active ingredients are carried into the ceramic’s three-dimensional
skeleton structure. Their migration rate is so small that they do not cause any problem
relating to wastewater regulations. This feature supports long antimicrobial activity.
3. Economical
 So far, numerous chemicals including Chlorine have been employed for control of
sulfides in wastewater treatment plant, and also acid-resistance pipe materials have
been used. In comparison with such methods ZeomightyⓇ is quite economical as it can
be mixed in the molding process of concrete.
4. Easy to Handle
 Just mix ZeomightyⓇ into cement and powder materials at the rate of 1% by weight, and
you can get antimicrobial concrete products. It can be handled just as conventional
cement mixing additives.
 Specific equipment for mixing ZeomightyⓇ is not needed.

* MIC: Minimum Inhibitory Concentration
MIC is one of the indicators to show the capability of an antimicrobial substance. It is the minimum
concentration level at which a certain microorganism’s growth under the optimum growth condition is
inhibited by the activity of the antimicrobial substance. MIC values are measured by determining
presence/absence of growth after the microorganisms being tested are inoculated to the liquid or solid
medium prepared by step-by-step dilution of the antimicrobial substance (i.e., 2,000 ppm, 1,000 ppm,
500 ppm, 250 ppm, and so on), and are cultured for a certain period under optimum conditions.

Use Instructions
 ZeomightyⓇ should be added at the rate of 1% by weight for cement and powder materials
that mean expanding material, high strength admixtures, ground granulated blast furnace
slag and fly ash. However, use 3kg/m3 of ZeomightyⓇ in case the dosage of cement and
powder materials is less than 300kg/m3 in the concrete mix.
 Not necessary to change kinds of raw materials (e.g., cement, water, aggregate such as sand
or gravel and chemical admixtures) and their dosage in the concrete mix. Replacement for
cement is not required.
 As ZeomightyⓇ is chemically stable, it doesn’t have any influence on chemical admixtures,
reinforcement and concrete form release agent at all.
 ZeomightyⓇ doesn’t also have any influence on compression strength and workability of the
resulting concrete. Therefore, it doesn’t need changes such as water/cement ratio and the
unit water content.
 ZeomightyⓇ measured beforehand should be added directly into a concrete mixer after all
raw materials are supplied. Mix the Zeomighty Ⓡ -added component for more than 90
seconds.
 Considering the dispersed conditions and consistent homogeneity in the concrete molding
process, ZeomightyⓇ is composed of materials which have specific gravities close to that of
the cement and admixtures. Accordingly, mixing into concrete or mortar can be sufficiently

 performed in a conventional plant with favorable dispersibility. It is desired that a mixer has
been qualified by international or domestic industrial standard shall be used. Portable
concrete mixer or agitator with in-transit mixer is not suitable to disperse ZeomightyⓇ into
concrete.
 ZeomightyⓇ can be dispersed by every molding method, i.e., centrifugal molding, vibration
molding and so on, without any changes molding conditions.
 Not necessary to change the conditions of curing process.

Shelf Life
One year from date of shipment from manufacturer in properly stored conditions.

Handling / Storage
Refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) prior to use. Contains ground granulated blast
furnace slag. Use proper safety equipment (gloves, goggles or glasses and dust masks). Store
in unopened bag in a cool, dry area.

Precautionary Statements
Avoid contact with skin and eyes or clothing. Avoid inhalation of dust. DO NOT take internally.
Wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling. Remove contaminated clothing and wash
clothing before reuse.
