ProJazz.Group launched in the fall of 2012, continues

to develop dramatically as an ensemble of three

young musicians with a unique and original style.

They also have performed in many international

contests and festivals.

These musicians prefer not to limit themselves to one style, as being in search of new sounds, in a
continuous musical process all the time achieves the main task of sincerity and execution. They do
consider soulfulness and sincerity as the most important aspects of their performance.

Anthony Karapetyan (piano). He is a laureate of both national and international jazz festivals and
competitions: Veneto Jazz Festival (Italy); Noome jazz (Estonya), Dodj festival (Ukraine); "The piano
in jazz" (Moscow-1 prize), "Jazz Parnassus" (St. Peterburg-1 prize). He took courses in the US (Berklee
College of Music, Boston) and Europe (New School, NY). Anthony played with musicians such as Eric
Marienthal (Chick Corea Electric Band,) Dave Kikoski, Eddy Henderson (Miles Davis, T. Monk, Herbie
Hancock), Igor Butman.

Yuri Barsukov (bass) is a scholar of The St. Nicholas fund, the laureate of the All-Russian competition
of stringed fiddle instruments, the laureate of the festival "Nobility Seasons" (Moscow), member of
the ensemble “ConForza” runing by Nikita Vlasov and Club Tango Orquesta by Alexander Mitenev.
He takes part in the contemporary music ensemble “NoName”, which performed at the Golden Mask
theater award. He is a soloist and concertmaster's assistant of the bass group of Nizhny Novgorod
Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra.

Maxim Shadrin (percussionist) is the participant of “Petrojazz” festival in 2012 and “Koktebel” jazz
festival 2011. He passed training by Thomas Lang and Florian Alexandru-Zorn. In 2013 successfully
took part in international “ Russian-German festival” ( N.Novgorod). During 2014-2016 the musicians
have been playing series of jazz concerts in Philharmonic Hall of Nizghny Novgorod. Also musicians
were taking part in International Festival “ Double Bass World 3” during the festival they have played
in many different concerts halls all over the Russia (St. Petersburg, Kazan and Cheboksary).

Projazz.group took part in the concert for “Children without Mothers” charity foundation.

In March of the 2016th together with the dulcimer player from Munich, Mikhail Leonchik, they
performed in the international festival "Other music. Bach". The collective cooperates with the
German and French cultural centers of Nizhny Novgorod, Russia.

JazzoFREEnia is wonderful madness spiced in jazz tones seasoned with spices of different cultures of
the world. The program which has become the result of creative searches in space of modern music,
including experimental arrangements of Charlie Chaplin, Beatles, Esbjorn Svensson and others, also
including the author's compositions!

Meditación is a concert meditation where sounds of music intertwine with the text of the famous
Lebanese writer and philosopher of the beginning of the 20th century, Dzhebran Khalil Dzhebran. The
"prophet" actual today as well as nearly 100 years ago, connects philosophical ideas of the West and
East with poetic elements of books of the Old Testament and traditional Sufi symbolics. That is what
put listeners in a special mystical mood. This program includes author's compositions of Anthony
Karapetyan and ProJazz.Group, and also the famous jazz standards in own musicians vision.

Mikhail Leonchik, one of the most famous dulcimer players in Europe. He has graduated jazz
department in Conservatory of R. Strauss in Munich (Germany), class of the famous jazz pianist Leonid
Chizhik (he has ended postgraduate study in 2006). He successfully performs al over the world– in
Japan, China, Canada, Denmark, France, Italy, Germany, Portugal, Russia, etc. This program consists
jazz arrangements of classical and folk music masterpieces.
