Best regards,
We wish to make your visit as easy as possible and have included the information attached to
assist you in obtaining entrance into the USA. Please understand that there are different rules and
regulations for visitors arriving from various nations. As a delegate arriving from outside the
USA, there are various regulations you should be aware of. Below we have included information
that may or may not be relevant to you. Please check with your nearest US consulate for
procedures in your territory.
Please note that we will be glad to assist you and address your inquiries wherever possible, but
ultimately the responsibility for your preparedness falls upon you personally. Also, the
information on the US Citizenship and Immigration Services web site (http://www.uscis.gov)
may be more current than what we include here. If or when information is in disagreement, please
assume the USCIS is correct.
VISA WAIVER PROGRAM
Best regards,
The Visa Waiver Program (VWP) enables nationals of certain countries to travel to the United
States for tourism or business for stays of 90 days or less without obtaining a visa. The program
was established in 1986 with the objective of eliminating unnecessary barriers to travel,
stimulating the tourism industry, and permitting the Department of State to focus consular
resources in other areas. VWP eligible travelers may apply for a visa, if they prefer to do so. Not
all countries participate in the VWP, and not all travelers from VWP countries are eligible to use
the program. VWP travelers are screened prior to admission into the United States, and they are
enrolled in the Department of Homeland Security's US-VISIT program.
All VWP travelers, regardless of age or type of passport used, must present individual machine
-readable passports. In addition, depending on when VWP travelers' passports were issued, other
passport requirements apply:
If you are from a country that does not participate in the Visa Waiver Pilot Program, please
contact the nearest US consulate and/or visit the USCIS web site for regulations and instructions
directly relevant to your visa application.
Try to make sure that when you are going through the U.S. Customs/Immigration inspection that
the I-94 Arrival/Departure card (a small white or green card, usually stapled to the passport) is
stamped by the Immigration officer specifies B-1 or WB.
