Family Matters Foundation INC; Youth Empowerment For Success Program
Residential and non-residential youth rules and regulations
Policies for disciplinary and dismissal action.

(1) Respect yourself, other youth, Family Matters Foundations staff members, associates and facility.
(2) At no time should you place yourself and others in a position of personal danger.
(3) Any form of abuse or harassment, either physical or emotional will not be tolerated.
(4) Absolutely no drugs (narcotics) alcoholic beverages, weapons of any kind and no violence (no
fighting or rough-housing of any kind) will be permitted in or around our facility at any time.
(5) Obtain permission to use all equipment.
(6) Attend all assigned counseling sessions; workshops (career training and money management)
tutoring sessions.
(7) Non- residential youth are not allowed in the residents living quarters without permission.
(8) Male residents youth are not allowed in the female living quarters.
(9) Female residents youth are not allowed in the male living quarters.
(10) Visitors of residential youth must sign in and out.
(11) Male visitors of female residents must visit in fellowship hall, female visitors of male
residents must visit in the fellowship hall also.

Offenses calling for immediate dismissal from the Youth Empowerment for Success Program: Rules
3, 4 and 7

Disciplinary action will be taken on: Rules 1, 2, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10 and 11

The youth council and case management will make recommendations for disciplinary actions or
dismissal to the Executive Director regarding the youth.

Procedures taken for dismissal:


1. The youth will be escorted to the office.
2. The counselor or director will inform the parent or guardian of the situation.
3. The youth will not be allowed to return to the program.

Procedures for disciplinary action:


1. There will be one verbal warning to the youth.
2. If the youth continues the same behavior, he/she will be asked to sit out the programs.
3. The youth will be allowed back into the program when the problem has been resolved.
4. There is no specified time period that the participant has to sit out; it is up to that individual, and
counselor.
