Course Title: Care of Mother and Child at Risk or with Problems (Acute and Chronic)
Course Code: NCM109
Course Description: The course deals with concepts of disturbances & pre-existing health problems of pregnant women and the pathologic changes during
intrapartum and postpartum periods.
Further, this course deals with the common problems occurring infancy to adolescence stage.
Course Credit: 6 units (90 hours) Lecture, 5 units (2 Units-(102 hours) Skills Laboratory; 3 Units- Clinical (RLE Hours: 306 hrs.)

Placement: 2nd year, second semester
Pre-requisites: NCM 101(Health Assessment) NCM 107 (Care of Mother, Child and Adolescent (Well Clients), NCM 103 (Fundamentals in Nursing Practice)

At the end of the 2nd year, given a normal and high risk mother and newborn, child, family, communities and population group in any health care
