INSympoFest (International Nursing Student Symposium and Festival) 2019

” The Use Of Technology In Nursing Schools Across The Country”

General Description

The 4th International Nursing Student Symposium and Festival 2019 (INSympoFest

2019) is a platform for nursing students to explore and enhance capabilities through competition
and symposium. INSympoFest aims to stimulate students to unleash their potentials and share
them with other students from various backgrounds. The 4th International Nursing Student
Symposium and Festival 2019 (INSympoFest 2019) is especially created for nursing students
(undergraduate: bachelor degree & graduate students) and nurse practitions across Indonesia and
beyond and continuously aimed to foster their research, scientific, and art works in nursing
INSympoFest has a sequence of activities starting from 23rd September to 25th September.
Student Sharing Session is one of the activities on 24 th September. Student Sharing Session is a
session in which nursing students from diverse backgrounds discuss about their experiences
regarding the chosen theme. This session aims to help students gaining more insight into the
diversity of nursing across the country.

Goals

General Goals

1. Learning more perspectives and knowledge about current nursing

2. Identifying the use of technology in nursing education
3. Differentiating use of technology in nursing education across the country

Specific Goals

1. Strengthening connection between nursing students

2. Sharing experiences with nursing students from different backgrounds
3. Gaining knowledge about other countries

Moderator Task
Details of the moderator task in leading the discussion.
1. Introducing self, opening the discussion, and introducing speakers to participants (10.10
– 10.15)
2. Giving questions according to the theme (10.15 – 11.10)
3. Leading the question and answer session with the participants (11.10 – 11.25)
4. Concluding and closing the session (11.25 – 11.30)

Discussion Materials
The following are outlines of the questions which are going to be asked to the speakers
during discussion:
1. What is your experience in growing up along with the advancement of technology?
2. How do you feel about the advancement of technology?
3. Does your university or nursing school provide technology for education program?
4. What do you think is special from the nursing program in your university?
5. How do you think innovation of technology will affect sustainable nursing practice?

Rules of Student Sharing Session

 1. Moderator and speakers are required to arrive 15 minutes before the occasion.
2. Moderator and speakers are obliged to maintain cleanliness, regulation, efficiency, and
safety of the occasion
3. Moderator and speakers are required to wear presentable attire.
4. Master of Ceremony is in charge of opening the occasion, introducing moderator, and
closing the occasion.
5. Moderator introduces the speakers and leads the discussion.
6. Participants are allowed to ask question during question and answer session.
7. The question and answer session will last for 15 minutes.

This term of reference is created to help the speakers and moderator grasping the purpose of
student sharing session. The speakers are expected to share insights in the discussion as a
contribution in achieving the goal of this occasion.
