To provide study of representative literary works by early and contemporary Filipino


writers.

V. Objective:

After completing this course, the students should be able to:

 Acquire knowledge or representative literary works of early Filipino writers.


 Gain insight in our history, our culture and even national psyche through Philippine
literature
 Get acquainted with the literary works of Filipino authors and use them as models of
good writing examples of different writing strategies
 Appreciate the literary works of Filipino writers
 Interpret some literary works
