Introduction
Los docentes necesitamos herramientas y recursos para la preparación eficaz de las clases ya que
estas nos brindan una idea de cómo hacerlo y aplicarlo.
Estos materiales no necesariamente tienen que ser impresos, como libros de textos escolares u hojas
de trabajos, afortunadamente tenemos una gran variedad de material audiovisual, grabaciones,
herramientas en líneas, etc. al alcance de cualquiera.

Sin embargo, es importante que como docentes tengamos en cuenta que podemos ser autóctonos en
la planificación de nuestras clases según la malla curricular implementada en la asignatura.

Si bien es cierto que muchos docentes se sienten seguros con el material estipulado para dar sus
clases, por ejemplo los textos escolares asignados, ya que les brindan guías de trabajo para los
estudiantes; gran parte de la información que brindan estos es ficticia aunque esté en concordancia
con los temas a abordar, y los estudiantes, con respecto al material autóctono, como menciona
Richard: [los materiales autóctonos] tienen un efecto positivo en la motivación del alumno, porque
son intrínsecamente más interesantes y motivadores que los materiales creados. (Richard, 2001, p.
252)

Es importante recordar que los libros de textos tienden a resaltar la gramática del idioma, dejando de
lado las prácticas y creencias basadas en la cultura y el comportamiento lingüístico y no lingüístico
del idioma destino.

Por otro lado, la creatividad juega un lugar importante en la enseñanza, por ende en el momento de
preparar nuestras clases, si solo las basamos en los materiales creados, la creatividad se va a ver
afectada al ceñirnos solamente en el material que utilizaremos.

Es de gran relevancia mencionar que el material creado, fue diseñado por expertos para lograr
propósitos puntuales, por eso no debemos apartarlo o dejar de lado.
En la enseñanza los docentes además de analizar el material a usar, se fijan en las necesidades del
grupo al cual se van a dirigir, por tal motivo es necesario no solo contar con excelentes recursos para
la preparación de las clase, sino también con buena planificación para adaptar los materiales a
nuestros alumnos.
Nuestra labor como maestro no es solo transmitir información, nosotros somos el canal para que el
estudiante conozca, entienda e interprete el conocimiento, y a su vez el conocimiento se refleje en su
vida, por lo tanto somos nosotros los maestros quienes debemos seleccionar cuidadosamente los
recursos y materiales, colocar nuestro sello como educadores para lograr exitosamente que los
estudiantes adquieran y desarrollen el conocimiento.

These materials do not necessarily have to be printed, such as school textbooks or worksheets,
fortunately, we have a wide variety of audiovisual material, recordings, online tools, etc. available to
anyone.

However, it is important that as teachers we take into account that we can be authentic in the
planning of our classes according to the curriculum implemented in the subject.

Although it is true that many teachers feel safe with the stipulated material to give their classes, for
example, the assigned school texts, since these provide work guides for students; much of the
information provided by these is fictitious even if it is in accordance with the topics to be addressed,
and the students, with respect to the authentic material, as Richard mentions: [the authentic materials]
have a positive effect on learner motivation because they are intrinsically more interesting and
motivating than created materials. (Richard, 2001, p. 252)
It is important to remember that textbooks tend to highlight the grammar of the language, leaving
aside culture-based practices and beliefs and the linguistic and non-linguistic behavior of the target
language.

On the other hand, creativity plays an important place in teaching, therefore when preparing our
classes, if we only base them on the materials created, creativity will be affected by sticking only to
the material that we will use.

It is highly relevant to mention that the material created was designed by experts to achieve specific
purposes, so we should not set it aside or leave it aside.

In teaching, in addition to analyzing the material to be used, teachers look at the needs of the group to
which they are going to direct their classes, for this reason, it is necessary not only to have excellent
resources for class preparation but also good planning to adapt the materials to the students.

It is relevant to mention that our work as a teacher is not only to transmit information, also we are the
channel for the student to know, understand and interpret knowledge, and in turn, the knowledge is
reflected in their life, therefore we are the teachers who must carefully select resources and materials
since as educators to successfully achieve that students acquire and develop knowledge.
