PLAN FOR FIRST EVANGELIZATION

Develop a specific plan for first evangelization for your intended audience.

o Who is it for?

The adult Latino catholic people who are not fully committed to the parish.

o What is the goal?

Implement strategies to welcome and bring back those who have moved

away from parish life and Catholicism.

o What will you do? List and explain the steps of the plan

 Visit homes, where the parish priest or the missionary is interested in

the life of each family and member of it. In such a way that the parish

priest or missionary is aware of the needs or shortcomings of the

family.

 Identificar las necesidades o carencias de cada familia y ver cómo se

puede ayudarlas.

 Create a social work team (marriages, singles and young people)

where first help is given to the members of the parish and then to

other vulnerable groups.

 Introduce programs that promote personal contact among

parishioners. In such a way that among the same parishioners they

feel accompanied and confident that they can find help among the

members of the parish.

 Take advantage of the evangelizing moments that already take place

in the life of the parish as the celebration of baptisms, marriages,

funerals, etc.

o How will you do this?

Knowing who and how many members of the parish are 100% committed,

committees or groups will be created to identify parishioners or families who

are not completely committed to the parish or those who have moved away

from the Catholic faith. Once identified, small groups or teams will be

created that commit to making a formal visit to each family or parishioner.

Each group should keep a log of what was discussed and what could be

identified directly and indirectly.

 Interest in the sacraments of initiation, for their children, and frequent

use of the sacrament of reconciliation and Eucharist.
