L’ACCORD DES ADJECTIFS

The adjectives used should be in agreement with the gender and

number of the subject in question. Note :Professions and
Nationalities are also treated as adjectives
That is, if the subject is a feminine gender, the adjective employed
should also be feminine . If the subject is a masculine and plural, so
should the adjective.

e.g.
Il est anglais
Elle est anglaise
Elles sont anglaises

Il est grand
Elle est grande
Marie et Sophie sont grandes
Tim et Dave sont grands
Tim et Marie sont grands.

La fleur est verte

Le stylo est vert
Les fleurs sont vertes
Les stylos sont verts

Sophie est chanteuse

Tim est chanteur

Dave est étudiant

Kimmy est étudiante
Dave et Kimmy sont étudiants
