As of 2018-19 AVID is being implemented at:
• 7,000 locations across the country

• 2,273 locations in California

• Most schools in Stockton Unified School


District

• All grades (K-8th) at Bush Elementary

AVID graduates enroll in college at a higher rate. AVID

Parent Profile: What do we expect?


• Monitor schoolwork, attendance, grades and attend teacher
conferences when requested
• Partner with the AVID teacher/Coordinator to discuss questions or
concerns
• Support your child in activities that prepare them for college
selection (college tours, school or community activities, or taking
tests for college entrance)
• Participate in AVID Parent meetings
