Xerox® Color C60/C70 Printer

Change Highlights
 This is a reissue of the Service Documentation for the Xerox® Color C60/C70 Printer. The
reissue is being done to correct minor technical issues and contains no substantive service
content changes.
 Do not use SearchLite to search for BSD, Wirenet, or PJ figures. Use the tree pane to
locate figures in the Xerox® Color C60/C70 Printer Service Documentation.

Translated Warnings
French, Italian, German, and Spanish translated versions of the English warning statements
are provided at point-of-need in the appropriate service procedures. The desired language
can be selected from the Book Configuration page located in the Configuration section of the
Service Documentation.

Installing the Service Documentation


Note: The instructions below are written for the Win2000, Win7, and Win10 PWS.
Perform the following steps to install the Xerox® Color C60/C70 Printer Service
Documentation on to the PWS:
1. Go to the BUS Station and select Check for Downloads and then select Start Transfer.
Failure to perform this step may result in an unsuccessful BUS Subscription to the Tech
EDOC source.
2. If an older version of this service documentation is installed, go to and perform
Uninstalling the Service Documentation and return to step 3.
3. Perform one of the following:
– If this installation is from a CD ROM or DVD, go to step 4.
– If this installation is from a MAPS eFile, go to step 5.
4. Insert the CD-ROM or DVD into the CD-ROM drive.
5. From the Taskbar, select Start.
6. Select Run.
7. On the command line, perform one of the following:
– For a CD-ROM or DVD install - Type d:\setup.exe (If d:\ is not the CD-ROM drive,
substitute the appropriate drive letter for the CD-ROM drive.) and select OK.
– For an eFile install - Type or browse to C:\xerox\edownloads\e705P01419
\setup.exe and select OK.
8. In the Select Target Drive dialog frame, select [-c-], then select OK.
9. In the Choose Install Type dialog frame, select Typical Install.
10.Read the Welcome screen, then select Next. The Select Features screen will appear.
11. Perform one of the following:
– For a CD-ROM or DVD install - Selecting Edoc Data and/or Edoc Figures is optional
and will require additional hard drive space (i.e. Space Required and Space Available
will be displayed at the bottom of the Select Features screen). Installing the Data
and/or Figures on the hard drive will improve PWS performance. However, the install
time will increase. (Ensure the PWS is connected to an AC outlet if choosing to
download Data and/or Figures.)
– For a MAPS eFile install - Ensure Edoc Data and Edoc Figures are selected.
12. Select Next.
13. After the InstallShield Wizard Complete frame displays, the installation is complete.
Select Finish. The Adobe SVG Viewer installation will run, if required.
Note: If the SVG Viewer Software License Agreement appears while browsing Service
Documentation, accept the license agreement or the viewer will be disabled.
14. On the Master Installer screen, select OK to exit.
Note: The product installed on the PWS (i.e. Case Management/Your Products) is c60-
c70.
15. Reboot the PC.
16. Go to the BUS station and select Check for Downloads. If any Tech EDOC files are
available for download, select Start Transfer.

Uninstalling the Service Documentation

A. To uninstall the Xerox® Color C60/C70 Printer Service Documentation and all its
components, select Start > Control Panel > Programs and Features > Xerox NG EDOC
Color C60-C70 Printer.
Note: If the product is not listed in Add/Remove Programs, it was probably installed from the
EDOC Manager DVD or was part of the PWS Image (e.g. new or re-imaged PWS).
– If the EDOC Manager DVD is available, use it to remove the EDOC and go to step D.
– If the EDOC Manager DVD is not available, go to step C and continue.
B. Select the Remove or Change/Remove button and select Yes in the popup dialog box,
then select Finish to continue.
C. Open Windows Explorer, go to c:\Xerox\edoc, and check for a folder called c60-c70. If
present, delete the folder and all its contents.
D. Unsubscribe the Color C60, C70 Tech EDOC source located in the Color C60, C70 Printer
Family category of the BUS Subscriptions list.
