Client Installation Procedure for AutoCAD 2005

Before starting AutoCAD 2005 installation you have to uninstall AutoCAD 2005 if
already installed in the pc. To uninstall do the following
1. Select start>settings>Control Panel >add/remove program in that Select
AutoCAD 2005 and remove it.
2. Delete AutoDesk folders in individual user settings. Example if staff no 1894102
is having account in a pc then do the following;
a. Open D:\Documents and settings\1894102\Application data. Delete
AutoDesk Folder.
b. In the same way go D:\Documents and settings\1894102\local
settings\application data delete AutoDesk folder.
3. Repeat the step 2 for all user profiles including administrator in Documents
and settings folder.
4. Map \\FS5\UTIL as U: , this has to be active for installation.
5. Install Internet Explorer 6.0 with service Pack1.To install it first login to the server
(Cad2k1) and access the folder ACAD2005-070305, inside the folder access
the folder I.E 6.0 with service pack1. Inside that folder double click the file
ie6setup file. It will start installing the IE6.0 service Pack1. The following screen
appears.

When the screen as shown in

the figure appears select I
accept the agreement then
just click Next to continue
installation.

After selecting the next the

screen as shown will appear. In
this screen just click next.

After selecting the next it will

start installing the service
pack1. After that the screen
as shown in the figure will
appear just select finish. The
computer will automatically
restart.

Again login to the server (Cad2k1) in the access the folder ACAD2005-070305,
inside that folder double click the file ACAD2K5 file. It will start installing the
AutoCAD 2005. The following screen appears.

When the screen as shown in

the figure appears just click
next to continue the
installation.

After that select country or region

as India and I accept, in the
screen as shown in the figure.
Then again click next to continue.

When this screen appears just

click next to continue further
installation.

After that the screen as

shown in the figure appears.
In the First Name enter the IP
of the client computer and
just click next.

When this screen appears select

full and click Next to continue.

After giving next the screen as

shown in the figure appears.
In this select the drive in which
you want install as shown and
click next to continue.

In this screen just click next to

continue installation.

In this screen also just click next

to continue installation.

The screen shown in the figure

indicates Auto CAD2005
installation is started.

The installation is in progress.

After completing the

installation the screen shown
in the figure appears, remove
the tick mark and select
finish.

After giving finish some

computer will ask to restart. Do
not restart the computer at this
stage select no when it ask to
restart. Express tools installation
will start automatically.

When the screen as shown in the

figure appears just click next for
further installation.

When this screen appears

select country as India and
select I accept and click next
to continue.

When this screen appears just

click next for further installation.

In this screen also just click next to

continue installation.

The screen shows that

installation in progress.

After completing the

installation just click finish. After
completing the installation of
AutoCAD2005 access the
server. Inside the ACAD2005-
070305 folder copy Flexm to
the local computer and
double click the same. In that
give yes and OK. Now
AutoCAD will run.

Copy pdfblack.ctb and pdfcolor.ctb files from D:\Program files\ACAD2000\plot

styles and paste it in start>settings>control panel>AutoDesk plot style manager.

While opening the AutoCAD 2005 first time it will ask for migrate custom settings as
shown in the figure select cancel and ACAD 2005 will open.
