Learning Area : Biodiversity

Learning Objective : 1. Understanding variety of living organisms and their classification.

Learning Outcomes : 1. Knowledge

a. Classify various animals based on their common


characteristics.
b. Classify various plants based on their common
characteristics.

2. Skill

a. Use the encyclopedia index in order to get the information.


b. Use computerize information tools to locate information
(alternative)
c. Evaluate information and determine its relevance in relation
to given information.

3. Attitude
a. Students will gain their self confidence during the process of
gathering information.
b. Cooperation increase communication skills.
Sources:
Encyclopedia, internet (if available), magazine, reference books, others.

COLLABORATIVE ACTIVITIES

Before the lesson, the teacher will discuss with the resources centre coordinator the

Activities :

I. Task Definition

Student will find information about the diversity in the general characteristic of living
organisms. Students will also build a concept map on living organisms based on the
classification for animal(invertebrate, vertebrate, mammal, fish, bird, amphibian,
reptile)and plant(flowering and non-flowering plants, monocotyledon, dicotyledons).
Reference : As stated in the worksheet (Grid 7)

A. Student go to the library to do their activities.


B. Student write their imformation finder. (Grid 7)
