DAMAGE IN TRANSPORTATION
All packages should be closely examined at time of delivery. If damage is apparent write “Damage In
Shipment” on ALL copies of the freight or express bill BEFORE delivery is accepted or “signed for” by
a GE representative or hospital receiving agent. Whether noted or concealed, damage MUST be
reported to the carrier immediately upon discovery, or in any event, with
4 days after receipt, and the contents and containers held for inspection by the carrier. A transportation
company will not pay a claim for damage if an inspection is not requested within this 14 day period.
The purchaser of GE equipment shall only utilize qualified personnel (i.e., GE’s field engineers,
personnel of third-party service companies with equivalent training, or licensed electricians) to perform
electrical servicing on the equipment.
GE employees should contact the product's Lead Service Integrator (LSI) to report service
documentation issues. DO NOT use TrackWise for this purpose. The LSI will then use the internal
problem reporting tool to communicate these issues to the writer.
WARNING Use all Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) such as gloves, safety shoes, safety
glasses, and kneeling pad, to reduce the risk of injury.
For a complete review of all safety requirements, see the Chapter 1, Safety Considerations section of
the latest version of LOGIQ P9/P7 R2.5 and R3 Proprietary Service Manual.

LOGIQ P9/P7 R2.5 to R3 Upgrade Installation
Section 1-1
LOGIQ P9/P7 R2.5 to R3 UPGRADE Installation
NOTE: Before shutting down the LOGIQ P9/P7 R2.5 system, please execute the backup procedure.
This upgrade installation manual for software upgrade is applicable to H42922LK and
H42922LL.
H42922LK H42922LL
(LOGIQ P9) (LOGIQ P7) GPN Description Q’ty
Section 1-2
Data Backup
1-2-1 Preparations for LOGIQ P9/P7 running previous version of Application Software
When preparing to load R3 software, you must perform the following steps:
• Back up the entire Patient Archive and Reports (you can import the database from previous version
into this version).
• Back up all preset except Service (InSite ExC Agent Configuration). Manually record the InSite ExC
Agent Configuration, do not back up. Service settings will have to be re-entered manually at the end
of the upgrade.
• Record Connectivity settings (TCP/IP).
Since the upgrade requires full software base and application load, before proceeding with the upgrade,
you must perform the following steps:
• Contact the customer to allow enough lead time to back up the system.
NOTE: Lead time will change depending on the size of patient data.
NOTE: After a full or partial system software load, confirm the Windows automatic Daylight Saving
Time feature is turned off (Utility -> System -> General -> Date/Time -> Change time zone... ->
Automatically Adjust Clock checkbox). Be sure the system date, time and time zone are set
correctly. System and Application software disables the Run window normally accessed from
Start -> Run, and the mouse right-click (left set key) feature.
Section 1-3
Backup and recording important settings
1-3-1 Backup procedure for Image Data, Preset, System Configuration
NOTE: The backup and restore procedures described in this section are divided into two parts. The first
part describes procedures to backup and restore patient image data using EZBackup/EZMove.
The second part describes procedures to backup and restore system and user-defined
configurations.
Depending on the system, you can use either a CD-R, DVD-R, USB Flash Drive, or USB Hard Disk for
system backup/restore. For the sake of simplicity, we have used the CD-R in the following examples.
NOTE: The system ONLY supports CD-R / DVD-R and DOES NOT support CD-RW / DVD+R.
1.) Prepare unformatted media or the USB HDD before starting EZBackup/EZMove.
2.) Specify the EZBackup/EZMove setup on the Utility-->System --> Backup/Restore page.
3.) Go to the Patient menu and select EZBackup/EZMove. The EZBackup/EZMove Wizard starts.
NOTE: If you use the USB HDD, some wizards and the pop-up messages DO NOT appear.
4.) Verify the information on the first page of the EZBackup/EZMove Wizard, Select Full backup
and then press Next button.
5.) Please check that backup span and perform the backup procedures.
NOTE: Patient Archive, Report Archive, Service does not compatible with LOGIQ P9/P7 R2.5 system.
The user should be executing backup and restore only User defined configuration data.
1.) Backup at Utility -> System -> Backup/Restore. Enable the only checkboxes User defined
configuration.
2.) Press the “Backup” button. -> Press “OK” to execute backup function.
NOTICE Always keep a paper record of the settings for the LOGIQ P9/P7. Verify that it is current before starting
a software load!
Overview
See the following pages to record data.
These subsections include descriptions for recording/setting up data for the following screens.
With the system Powered On, follow the procedures below to document basic system information and
back up Presets, and if required, Patient Archive and Patient Images prior to software load.
Hardcopy forms are provided here for convenience, but content will be included if selected during
Backup process. Backing up this information is only required if an upgrade specifies the information be
backed up or as an extra precaution against loss due to a corrupt back-up disk.
