Describing emergency situations

Learning Objective

To talk about emergencies using adverb clauses and


noun clauses.
Focus on the words in orange.

A: Do you know where Timmy is?


B: I have no idea where he is. Why?
A: Hmm, I was looking for him because I had to
talk to his mother. Last week, he got lost. It was a
real emergency! We couldn't find him!

Use the questions. Then, create embedded questions.
Transform these questions into "embedded Noun Clauses
questions" (noun clauses). A Noun Clause has two parts, a starting phrase and
a question. We can use Wh- questions and Yes/No
