HYMN “O Come, Let us Adore Him” CH. 196
1. O come, let us adore Him, O come, let us adore Him, O come, let us adore Him, Christ the Lord.
2. We’ll praise His name forever, We’ll praise His name forever, We’ll praise His name forever,
Christ the Lord.
3. We’ll give Him all the glory, We’ll give Him all the glory, We’ll give Him all the glory, Christ
the Lord.
4. For He alone is worthy, For He alone is worthy, For He alone is worthy, Christ the Lord.
5. O come, let us adore Him, O come, let us adore Him, O come, let us adore Him, Christ the Lord.

CALL TO WORSHIP Psalm 145:1-3a
I will praise you, my God, and King,
And bless your name forever and ever.
I will bless you every day, and I will praise you forever.
Great is the Lord! He is most worthy of Praise!

HYMN “Immortal, Invisible, God Only Wise” No. 103
1. Immortal, invisible, God only wise, in light inaccessible hid from our eyes, most blessed, most
glorious, the Ancient of Days, almighty, victorious, thy great name we praise.
2. Unresting, unhasting, and silent as light, nor wanting, nor wasting, thou rulest in might; thy
justice like mountains high soaring above thy clouds which are fountains of goodness and love.
3. To all, life thou givest, to both great and small; in all life thou livest, the true life of all; we
blossom and flourish as leaves on the tree, and wither and perish, but naught changeth thee.
4. Thou reignest in glory; thou dwellest in light; thine angels adore thee, all veiling their sight; all
laud we would render: O help us to see ‘tis only the splendor of light hideth thee.

SCRIPTURE READING “Philippians 4:11-13” CEB
I’m not saying this because I need anything, for I have learned how to be content in any
circumstance. 12 I know the experience of being in need and of having more than enough; I have
learned the secret to being content in any and every circumstance, whether full or hungry or whether
having plenty or being poor. 13 I can endure all these things through the power of the one who gives
me strength.
This is God’s Word for God’s people. Thanks be to God.

PRAYER HYMN “Spirit of the Living God” No. 393

Spirit of the living God, fall afresh on me. Spirit of the living God, fall afresh on me. Melt me,
mold me, fill me, use me. Spirit of the living God, fall afresh on me.

CONGREGATIONAL PRAYER
Almighty God, you sent your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ, to suffer death on the cross. Grant
that we may share in his obedience to your will and in the glorious victory of his resurrection;
through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, One God,
now and ever. Amen.
And, now, as the forgiven, obedient children of God, let us pray the prayer Jesus taught us to
pray….
LORD’S PRAYER No. 895
Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, As
we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, But deliver us from
evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

HYMNS OF PRAISE
“Lord, I Lift Your Name on High” (sing twice) No. 2088
Lord, I lift your name on high; Lord, I love to sing your praises, I’m so glad you’re in my life; I’m
so glad you came to save us. You came from heaven to earth to show the way, from the earth to the
cross my debt to pay; from the cross to the grave, from the grave to the sky; Lord, I lift your name
on high.

“We Will Glorify the King of Kings” No. 2087

1. We will glorify the King of kings, we will glorify the Lamb; we will glorify the Lord of lords,
who is the great I AM.
2. Lord Jehovah reigns in majesty, we will bow before his throne; we will worship him in
righteousness, we will worship him alone.
3. He is Lord of heaven, Lord of earth, he is Lord of all who live; he is Lord above the universe, all
praise to him we give.
4. Hallelujah to the King of kings; hallelujah to the Lamb; hallelujah to the Lord of lords, who is
the great I AM.

MESSAGE “A Roadmap That Matters”

HYMN “Here I Am, Lord” No. 593
1. I, the Lord of sea and sky, I have heard my people cry. All who dwell in dark and sin my hand
will save. I who made the stars of night, I will make their darkness bright. Who will bear my
light to them?
Refrain: Whom shall I send? Here I am, Lord. Is it I, Lord? I have heard you calling in the night.
I will go, Lord, if you lead me. I will hold your people in my heart.
2. I, the Lord of snow and rain, I have borne my people’s pain. I have wept for love of them. They
turn away. I will break their hearts of stone, give them hearts for love alone. I will speak my
word to them.
3. I, the Lord of wind and flame, I will tend the poor and lame, I will set a feast for them. My hand
will save. Finest bread I will provide till their hearts be satisfied. I will give my life to them.
