Sub: ­ Proposal for conducting 'LogiTRIX' workshop at Cochin university of science.

ThinkLABS Technosolutions Pvt Ltd is founded by an IIT Alumni. It has been a leader in Robotics 
and Embedded System education in India. ThinkLABS is backed by SINE­IIT Bombay, Indian 
Innovators Association. Some of the key advisory board members are Prof Amarnath (Ex­Dean SA & Ex­
Head Robotics Lab, IIT Bombay) and Mr. Fred Rose (Director Strategy and Technology, Honeywell Inc, 
USA).

There would not be any financial burden on the college as all the financial cost would be borne by the 
students only. The college just needs to provide infrastructural support and ensure enough participation in 
the workshop

Details of the two day workshop

This workshop is a specialization course in line following and precision robotics. The workshop not only 
teaches the concepts of Industry grade AVR microcontroller.

Apart from the theoretical sessions, participants would be working on autonomous robotics kit specially 
designed by ThinkLABS R&D dept. This kit includes, AVR microcontroller based development board, 
programming tool, sensors, actuators etc. There would also be hands on session on this kit, this would 
help the participants to enhance their Embedded C programming and PC hardware interfacing.

b. Introduction to the AVR Microcontroller

e. Sensors
f. Line Following:

h. ADC

Financial and other details

The cost per team of maximum 4 participants for this workshop is Rs 6000 (inclusive of all taxes). This 
cost includes
a. Training charges
b. Handouts and training material
c. Participation certificate
d. One AVR based take away autonomous robotics kit per team (worth around Rs 3000)

Some other technical requirements for the Workshop are:­ 

a. A Class room for a seating capacity of 100 students. The classroom should not be very long, but 
wide. It should have enough of free space for the students to conduct hands­on. 
b. Minimum number of Teams to conduct the workshop is 25.
c. A speaker system. Two cordless mikes (one collar mike preferred) Connector cable to take audio 
out from laptop and give input to the amplifier. 
d. LCD projector and black board/White board for presentation and teaching. 
e. 6 DC power supplies­ 12 V, 1 Chord to connect a Laptop with sound system.
f. We also require the college (or the participants) to arrange a PC for each team with serial port.
g. The college should provide the necessary arrangements for connections for the PC’s.

All the registrations would be done on ThinkLABS website or can be taken by a student volunteer 
from the college.

Mode of payment:­ 
The  mode  of  payment  shall  be  cheque  or  DD  in  favor  of  ‘ThinkLABS  Technosolutions  Pvt.  Ltd’ 
payable at Mumbai.

We require the institution to arrange accommodation for ThinkLABS team members during the workshop 
period. The college will also arrange for pickup and drop of the ThinkLABS team from the nearest 
railway station.
