Essentials
Course Overview

This 5-day course starts with the fundamental concepts and mechanics of the Riverbed® OPNET®
Modeler software (including wireless). It covers model building and approach, hierarchy, modeling in the
Project, Node and Process Editors, and many other features. This is followed by more advanced topics
such as process model methodology, modeling custom wireless effects, and efficiency techniques.

This course is designed for those who are new to Riverbed® OPNET® Modeler software. It will cover the
main editors used to build new devices and protocols, creating a network model, running simulations, and
analyzing the performance of said network. It does not cover how to configure specific protocols such as
LTE and WLAN.
