Hi! My name is Kate for those of you who don’t me!!

I’m running for the Junior Prelate position which is basically, in my mind, a morale position!

This position has a special place in my heart because it explains my personality so well. I love
spreading good vibes, positivity, and just encouraging everyone around me!
I played on a soccer team for most of my life, so I’m also an experienced pep-talk giver!
I’m that girl in the class that will send you puppy videos if you’re feeling down!

Aside from it being a part of my personality. I also have real life experience!
I worked as a language assistant at the English Language Institute at UF. I interacted daily with
international kids who struggled with English and transitioning to the US. Though this, I learned
how to make their day better and more enjoyable and how to encourage someone in a
challenging situation.
Another one of the greatest experiences I’ve had as an undergrad is helping people who are
struggling in their school and personal life. I am always on the lookout for people who are
having a hard time and consider myself a good listener! I love hearing about people’s lives and
bringing them any hope or joy I can offer! So if you have a story to tell, I’m all ears!

Part of the responsibility of junior prelate is keeping up with and celebrating everyone’s
birthdays. Birthdays are a huge deal in my family! It’s almost a religion for us! I’m an only child,
so you can imagine I always got (let’s be honest I still kinda do get) a lot of attention on my
birthday, so I always felt that it was that way for everyone else too! So, I would love to
celebrate each of you!

During my time as an undergrad at UF, I was part of one of the biggest student-run
organizations on campus – CRU. I was on the Socials team and Communications team, as well
as being a small group leader and mentor. This means that I planned and hosted events and
also made the advertisements and graphics for those events!
I’m sure you can tell by now I am an extrovert by definition – I get my energy from people. I
love being surrounded by people!

So, No matter whether y’all vote for me or not, I will still send encouraging texts, give you pep
talks before exams, and always have a puppy video on hand to lift your spirits!
