La Nación Argentina adopta para su gobierno la forma Representativa,
Republicana y Federal. Es Representativa porque gobiernan los representantes del pueblo. Es Republicana pues los representantes son elegidos por el pueblo a través del sufragio y porque existe la división de poderes (Poder Ejecutivo, el Poder Legislativo y el Poder Judicial) y se adopta una Constitución escrita. Es Federal porque los Estados Provinciales conservan su autonomía, a pesar de estar reunidos bajo un gobierno común (Gobierno Nacional). Los tres Poderes se controlan unos a otros para garantizar la descentralización del poder. Y posee un régimen democrático y sistema de gobierno presidencialista. Además, Argentina cuenta con 23 provincias y 1 distrito federal autónomo, que han conservado ciertos poderes no pertenecientes al gobierno federal. Cada uno elige a sus propios legisladores y gobernantes provinciales. Y ahora hablemos sobre su constitución: La Constitución de 1853 estableció un sistema de gobierno representativo, republicano y federal, que ha sido mantenido por todas las reformas constitucionales realizadas desde entonces. La Constitución vigente en la actualidad es la que resulta del texto establecido por la Convención Constituyente de 1994.
