The Progressive Past is a verb tense of the past, which is used to talk
about the development of an action that took place at a certain time,
the end of which we do not know or is unimportant, as well as to
express that an action took place when another interrupted it and
finally refer to actions that occurred simultaneously. Example:
The dog was barking
The dog was not barking
The dog was barking?
Wasn't Dog barking?
7
Para expresar en una oración que transcurría una acción en el pasado, o
acciones que se realizaban simultáneamente se debe usar el auxiliar
“was/were”.
He
She
It
You
They
Ahora bien, para expresar una acción que tenía lugar hasta que otra externa a
ella la interrumpió, tendremos una oración compuesta por 2 ideas que expresan
Pasado Simple y Pasado progresivo.
