ThyssenKrupp Lift Diagnostic Tool (LD2T)

ThyssenKrupp Lift Diagnostic Tool (LD2T) is a software for parameterization and diagnostic of CMC4/CMC4+ lifts.
For CMC4+ it’s necessary to connect the LCA1 in the controller board. Then you need to connect the USB2CMC4
and you will get your license.

Main features of LD2t are: integration of different modules (Parameterization, Diagnostic, programming …), easy
to use, intuitive visual interface, multilanguage. Edit and enquiry parameters:

DiagPDA Software
Available for CMC controllers (CMC3 and CMC4/CMC4+)
Diagnostic Software developed for its installation in PDA devices. Minimum requirements for PDA:
• Bluetooth: any COM port can be selected between 0 and 9.
• Screen: Minimum resolution required: 320x240 (QVGA) or 640x480 (VGA) pixels.
• Operating system: Only compatible with Windows Mobile 6.
• USB connection: For PDA software installation, a connection with the PC is required.

CMC3-CMC4/CMC4+ controllers interface:

Connecting this interface to the DB9 connector available in CMC3 and/or CMC4 main control board a
Bluetooth communication is established between the controller and the PDA.

Main features:
Same functions as POME tool with enhanced features.

DiagPC laptop sofware

Available for CMC controllers (CMC2-CMC3-CMC4/CMC4+)

Diagnostic Software developed for its installation in laptops. Minimum requirements for laptop:
• Bluetooth or USB-bluetooth adapter can be used.
• Screen: Minimum resolution required: 1024x800 or 1280x1024..
• Operating system: Windows XP .
• USB connection: For PDA software installation, a connection with the PC is required.

CMC3-CMC4/CMC4+ controllers interface:

Connecting this interface to the DB9 connector available in CMC3 and/or CMC4/CMC4+ main control
board a Bluetooth communication is established between the controller and the laptop. Same controller as
DiagPDA software.
For CMC4+ it’s necessary to connect the LCA1.

Main features:

BoMo
Available only for CMC4/CMC4+ ( in CMC4+ connect the LCA1 Access Control Key).
The low-cost control panel, BoMo, allows the maintenance and assembly personnel basic operations
such as:

• Car movement: Cabin level is shown. Cabin can be sent to top and bottom level. Cabin call
submode. Cabin movement along the shaft in emergency mode

• Front and rear door control: open/close Doors form both access.
• Failure stack mode: current failure will be displayed with level information available.
Complete stack can be reviewed and then deleted.
• Parameter mode: 21 parameters can be checked and changed if necessary.
• Special Functions: Battery level display. Main control board temperature display. Machine
room trip temperature change, for inspection. E2PROM parameters copy from one main
control board to another.

Protected with a limited number of uses available; It’s programmed for 400 connections, (with about 2
connections per day, the tool would be in use more or less one year).

TKE Firmware Updater USB Dev. (TKE-USB) (USB2CMC4 Programmer)

The USB2CMC4 programmer is an USB-RS232 interface which allows the firmware actualization for all
CMC4 (UCM main control board, UCC car control board, UCP, and Landing boards) and CMC4+ boards. Other
TKEMF new designs using Renesas microcontrollers can also be upgraded with this tool (SUS CMC3 boards,
LCD TKE display with voice announcer…)
New TKE-USB can be used for CMC4/CMC4+. It’s equal to the USB2CMC4 but internally modified.

This programmer has been specially design for this firmware upgrade so all CMC4/CMC4+ boards
are protected against any copy attempt, it is the only tool that can be used for this purpose.

The software needed for this firmware upgrade, called TPT, would be supplied by the CSC Service
(technical-office-services.tkems@thyssenkrupp.com).
