Medical Theme Charts for
Planets, Houses and Signs
How do we Use these Medical Theme Charts?
The numbers 1-12  (meaning the first through the 12th houses) in each individual box below reference the
specific HOUSE with respect to each different lagna (ascendant). For example, under MARS in the Medical Theme
Chart for Planets below, we see that the NECK is ruled by the planets Mars and Venus, along with the 2nd House
- irrespective of what sign rises in any given chart. So if we have a chart with Pisces rising, we know that the neck
is ruled by the planets Mars and Venus, the 2nd house (which is ARIES for a Pisces rising and its lord, Mars), along
with the NATURAL Zodiac Sign and Lord of the 2nd House - which is TAURUS and Venus. Therefore - affliction, bad
placement (in dusthanas 6th, 8th, or 12th houses), or weakness of any of the above significations may give rise to
problematic situations involving the neck, and both natal and transit charts must be checked thoroughly
fo/Methodologiesr proper assessments and timing.

Now if we have a chart with Cancer rising, using the same parameters as indicated above, we know from
the TABLES below that the NECK is naturally ruled by the planets Mars and Venus, the sign Taurus, and the 2nd
House, (all natural indicators for the neck) along with the sign Leo and its ruler, Sun for a Cancer Ascendant. WHY
Leo and the Sun for a Cancer Ascendant? Because Leo and the Sun have functional lordship over the 2nd House for
a Cancer rising, which rules the neck in any given chart. So we simply synthesize and integrate both the Natural
and Functionalindicators in any given chart prior to reaching any conclusions or final assessments...

Note: Each planet, house, and sign  is representative of certain medical conditions and therefore is considered to
be the 'significator' of the specific condition it represents. The significator is also called theKaraka,  and the
corresponding representations are known as the Karakatwas. Many significations for different approaches or
systems are common karakas and applicable for  different systems of study  -meaning they
are familiar significations taught in a variety of different systems of Astrology.  Any given signification listed below
cannot be considered to be either the only significator or representation - nor - on the other hand - can these
significations be considered to be the sole property of any particular System or Methodology -   irrespective of what
System/Methodology of Astrology one practices, as many systems share 'common significators'.  Additionally,
there are other  Systems and Methodologies that are analyzed relative to Houses and Primary and Linked
Cusps,  and along with consideration for the natural significations, charts are delineated by Star, Sub, and Sub Sub
Lord  considerations. These delineations are very 'chart specific' and require much more in depth study due to the
variances in Primary and Linked or Supporting Cusps, so along with consideration for the natural significations,
charts are delineated according to Star, Sub, and Sub Sub Lord functionality resulting insignifications that will
inevitably vary from those listed below. Keeping all of the above considerations in mind, please find
(below) Medical Themes significations as practiced in System's Approach for Interpreting Horoscopes, and as
developed by V K Choudhry.  For additional information on researching Significations, please reference the

Traditional Vedic Permanent Plantary Relationships*

*Note: Others modifications must also be factored into these Permanent Relationships for each individual
Chart. For example, Planets in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 10th, 11th, & 12th from the Sign in which a Planet is
located in a Chart, counting that sign as the first, are regarded as its Temporary Friends. Planets in the same
sign or in the 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th from it are regarded as its Temporary Enemies. So the Relationships
must be evaluated according to both their Permanent and Composite structures.

Tithi ,yoga ,karan and nakshatra

Thithi (lunar day) :

Tithi is the date according to the Hindu lunar calendar. The Hindu lunar calendar consists of a dark and a bright fortnight also
called Krishna paksha and Shukla Paksha. Tithi is said to be complete when moon has 12 degree from the sun. when moon
complete 12 degree each time one tithi is comptete. There are 30 tithis in a lunar month. There are several rituals and festivals
associated with Tithis. Most of the festivals fall on the new moon day (amavsaya) or the full moon day (poornma). It is important
to note that starting or ending of a Tithi depends upon the degree of Moon from that of Sun therefore a Tithi ends or starts at
any time in a day not like the Modern Time when a date changes at midnight.

There are 30 tithis in a lunar month. In Indian Astrology, the calculation of the Tithis starts from Pratipada (The first day in each

half of the lunar month) of the Shukla-Paksha. Tithis are as follows : The
Hindu Tithis are classified into 8 types:
Nanda Tithi – Bestows happiness, enjoyment.

2. Nakshatra:

Nakshatra Literally means “that which does not decay.” A group of stars is called Nakshatra. The whole space has been divided
into 27 parts and each part has been given the name of Nakshatra. There are twenty-seven Nakshatras considered in Vedic
Astrology. Each one of them has thirteen degree and twenty minutes of the zodiac. Each Nakshatra has a planetary lord used for
Vimsottari Dasa and K.P. calculations. Nakshatra can be known with help of degrees of Moon in a particular sign at the time of

birth. They are as follows : The Indian astrologers believe

that the combination of the last 15 Ghati of 'Uttarashadha Nakshatra' and the first 4 Ghati of the Shravani Nakshatra i.e. 19
Ghatis in all, constitute the 'Abhijeet Nakshatra' and this particular Nakshatra is considered to be very auspicious to begin a good
work.

PANCHAKA NAKSHATRA : The following group of five Nakshatras are considered as having five defects (Panchakadosha). They

are performed 27th days after the birth when the same Nakshatra returns. Out of these six Nakshatras, which constitute Moola
Nakshatra, Jyeshtha and Moola are called 'Gandant Moola' and Aashlesha is called as 'Sarpa Moola'.

ADHOMUKHA NAKSHATRA : As the name of this Nakshatra implies, works like digging a well, or lying a foundation is considered
as auspicious. This particular Nakshatra is itself constituted by Nakshatras. They are: Moola, Aashlesha, Vishakha, Kritika,
Purvaphalguni, Purvashadha, Purvabhadrapada, Bharani and Magha.

DAGDHA NAKSHATRA : For commencement of any work, these Nakshatras are considered as inauspicious. Therefore,

movable Karanas. They repeat 8 times starting from 2nd half of the first lunar day of a month.
Each of the Karana is said to have its own influence and interpretation. ‘Vishti’ is considered the most inauspicious karana. No
important or new work is done during the period of this karana.

5. Vaar (day of the week) :

There are 7 days in a week. The days of the week along with the ruler planet are as follows :

The counting of days begins from the sunrise of the first day to the sunrise of the second day. In astrology, this system is known
as 'AHORATRA', which means day and night taken together. Omitting the first letter 'A' and the last three letters 'T','R','A', the
word 'HORA' is coined from which, the English word 'HOUR' originated. There are 24 HORAS in all.
