Chistiyyul Qadiri Naqshabandiyyah Suhrawardiyyah
Sanussiyah wa Salasilah Arbain
In the Name of Allah The Eternally Merciful and Eternally Compassionate.
Peace and blessings upon our luminous liege Lord, the Chief of all creations of Allah,
Sayyidina Muhammad, upon his blessed Household and Companions. With the
blessings of our sacred and blessed guides in this pure and luminous Tariqah. May Allah
accept this small work. I hope this small effort it will ease seekers to be those that are
constantly remembering Allah swt. Ameen!

This blessed compilation that have reached you is taken from the blessed Kitab Suluk
wa Awradul Habeeb compiled by the great Saint and knower of Allah swt Qibla Alam
Khawaja Habeebullah Shah Chistiyyul Qadiri Naqshabandiyyah Suhrawardiyyah
Sanussiyah wa Salasilah Arbain QS. May we benefit from his luminous secrets. Ameen.

Awradul Habeeb, is a compilation of etiquettes of Suluk, prayers and litanies complied by

Qibla Alam Hazrat Khawaja Habeebullah Shah QS which were given to Murids who
have taken the Baiah from his blessed hands.
In this small compilation, I have extracted the blessed prayers al-Musabba’at al-‘Ashr.
The prayer from the Imam of Gnostics Sayyidina Khidir that he received from
Rasulullah pbuh called al-Musabba’at al-‘Ashr “Ten Sevens” and I have added a General
litany which is to be recited by the lovers of the Tariqah so they too can attain blessings
for their spiritual self and life. For the seekers who have taken Baiah they need not recite
the General Litany but instead focus on their Zikr that they have received for their
Suluk.
How to recite the al-Musabba’at al-‘Ashr
The Ten Sevens (al-Musabba’at al-‘Ashr) is one of the prayers in Awradul Habeeb that is
recommended by the great Qibla Alam Khawaja Habeebullah Shah QS for Murids to
recite daily.
Each Surah and Dua listed here are to be recited 7 times each except for Ya Jabbar,
which is to be recited 41 times. The benefits of reciting this Ism is, the reciter would be
protected. Seekers should recite the al-Musabba’at al-‘Ashr after Fajar prayers once,
before the rising of the sun and once after Asar prayers, before the setting of the sun.
About this blessed prayer.
This prayer was gifted by the Holy Prophet pbuh to Sayyidina Khidir. He Sayyidina
Khidir then taught this prayer to the great Sufi of Kufa, Shaykh Ibrahim Al – Taimi
while the latter was in front of the Ka’ba. The following is the narration about this
blessed prayer.
Abû Tîba Karaz ibn Wabra al-Hârithî (may Allah bestow His mercy upon him) was one
of the Abdâl (spiritual deputies). He is reported as having said:
“I once received a visit from a spiritual brother of mine, an inhabitant of the region of
Damascus, who presented me with a gift. ‘O Karaz,’ he said to me, ‘accept from me
this gift, for it is truly an excellent present!’ So I asked him: ‘O my brother, and who
gave you this gift?’ To this he replied: ‘It was given to me by Ibrahim al-Taimi (may
Allah the Exalted bestow His mercy upon him),’ so I said: ‘Well, did you ask Ibrahim
who gave this gift to him?’ ‘Yes, of course,’ said he, then he told me the following
story:

“‘I was sitting in the area in front of the Ka’ba [in Makkah], and I was engrossed in
affirming the Uniqueness of Allah (tahlil), in proclaiming His Glory (tasbih), and in
offering praise to Him (tahmid). Then a man came up to me, greeted me with the
salutation of peace (sallama ‘alayya), and seated himself to my right. Well, never in all my
days had I seen anyone more handsome in facial features, more handsome in style of
attire, more fragrantly perfumed, or with a fairer complexion. So I said: ‘O servant of
Allah, who are you? Where do you come from, and what are you?’ He replied: ‘I am al-
Khidr. I have come to say, “Peace be upon you,” and because I have a feeling of love
toward you, for the sake of Allah. I also come bearing a gift, which I intend to present
to you.’
“‘Well then,’ said I, ‘please tell me about this gift of yours. What is it?’ To this al-Khidr
(peace be upon him) replied: ‘You must recite the following, before the sun rises and
spreads its light over the earth, and also before it sets:’

[Al-Khidr then proceeds to list the Ten Sevens and continues with the following:]

“‘See to it that you carry out this practice without fail, both in the morning and in the
evening, for he who gave it to me told me: “You must say it at least once in your
lifetime.” When I said to him: ‘I would like you to tell me who gave you this gift,’ he
said: ‘It was Muhammad (Allah bless him and give him peace) who gave it to me.’
“I then said to al-Khidr (peace be upon him): ‘Tell me something. Suppose I see the
Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) in one of my dreams, should I ask him if
he gave you this gift?’ So he said to me: ‘Are you doubting my veracity?’ I said: ‘No, by
Allah, but I would love to hear that directly from Allah’s Messenger (Allah bless him
and give him peace.’

[Al-Khidr then prescribes a prayer and some recitals to al-Taimi to see the Prophet (Allah bless him
and give him peace) in his dreams. Al-Taimi follows the instructions, and eventually falls asleep. He
sees some of the splendours of the Garden, and meets the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace)
who confirms the above litany and establishes the truthfulness and rank of Al-Khidr (peace be upon
him). Please refer to the book reference below for complete anecdote.]

Award Amm, the ‘General Litany’, is to be recited by the lover Muhibbin of this Tariqah
twice a day after the recitation of the al-Musabba’at al-‘Ashr. There are numerous benefits
for the Muhibbin who preserves the practice of this blessed yet concise Zikr. Reciting
this Zikr is as though the Muhibbin is drinking from the blessed well of Divine Secrets
of this Tariqah and performing it twice a day quenches the spiritual thirst of the seekers.
