Conflict analysis and peer mediation training:

A basic 30-hour mediation and conflict transformation and resolution theory and skills.
This training will help youth to work constructively with conflict. It will be divided into
three parts.
1. the first part is conflict analysis and understanding:
• to analyze and understand conflict
• To understand the difference between conflict stories and analysis.
• To use different models and theories of conflict in daily life.
2. The second part is the personal approaches to conflict: it will deal with personal
styles in dealing with conflicts. It will give an inner perspective on self through
different activities and games.
3. The third part is mediation training: Mediation has shown to be the best means for
imbuing the youngster with the qualities needed for solving conflicts
constructively when they themselves become parties in real conflict (Anatol
Pikas). In this part trainees will explore the transformative mediation through
understanding the two main concepts empowerment and recognition.
