At the end of the activity, the students CAN:
1. Employ different listening strategies suited to the topic, purpose, and level of difficulty of the listening
text
by:

1.1.1 Identifying the different listening strategies to extract meaning from the listening text.

1.1.2. Describing the procedures for each listening strategy

1.1.3. Practicing switch of listening strategies from one to another to extract meaning from the listening text.

IV. Learning Activity


A. Collaborative Work:
Title of the Activity: Stand and Sit down
Instructions /Directions for the implementation of the Strategy:

1. The class is grouped with six students in each group.


2. Each member of the group is assigned to a different listening strategy.
3. All students are asked to stand.
3. The teacher reads an article, “Active Listening Strategies” The teacher reads the description and process of
each listening strategy.
4. Students who are assigned to the listening strategy read by the teacher will sit and take down notes of the
given description, according to their strategy.
5. This process is continued until all the listening strategies are read.
