The countdown is on for residents to make submissions about Moorabool


Shire Council’s proposed 2020-2021 annual Budget.
The deadline for submissions is Tuesday 23 June and the draft proposes
a two per cent rates rise, in line with the state government’s ‘fair go’ rates
policy.
Some properties however may see a decrease or a higher increase and, this
is due to property valuations and not council.
One section of the budget, titled ‘New Initiatives,’ contains more than
$600,000 including maintenance boosts and extra funding for economic
development.
