Families who don't have access to the Internet, the government is designing a kit to learn from

In this uncertain environment, it’s important that learning continues, even if it can’t happen in person
Here are some resources to accelerate teaching and learning to meet today’s challenges.
how to teach in a virtual environment, engage and communicate with students, and assess their
learning
Asynchronous----work at own pace; if students work at their own pace then use recording
softwares.
Break the videos in chunks or parts or topic wise . because its difficult to focus for 90 mins of online
class.
Discussion Forums--- interactive form of participations, lead the discussions, ---set guidelines for

it does not take into account the learning or for that matter the teaching styles/personality that takes
place in the face to face classroom.
accessibility issues may find it more challenging as they may not be good with following "written"
instructions that are found in the online learning environment
These are challenging time and the need for flexibility and creativity will and are key to successfully
getting through the "crisis"!
learning strategies that are suitable for this situation are mobile ubiquitous learning (u-Learning)
Schools are a different case since the teaching is (in my experience) a lot more involved. But such crisis
time remote learning has turned education into more self exploration,
Keeping the social obligation and connected-ness seem to me to be the most difficult thing to
accomplish
Google Classroom , We use Zoom, framasoft and google forms , app VCT

" Faculty whose courses are not typically online are in intensive training in many colleges, and many
students are having to learn to adapt to online.----- most of the teachers need intenshive online

how “education, as an institution, creates the conditions for the construction, reproduction, and
legitimation of the stratification of society” (Jean-Claude Croizet al., “Education and Social Class"), and
the private sector, in particular, "consolidates advantage among the social groups that are already the
most well-to-do" (Espenshade and Radford, No Longer Separate, not yet Equal).
It seems we are reaching the point where, to be able to function in society, one has to be able to get
online.
this difficulty will alter the face of education in our public system
Online classes doesn't support all the instruction to be given by the teachers because there are varied
learners
Some are not totally confident to perform alone following what is in the video or audio...they love actual
simulation.
o what extent, I wonder, do the advantages of being able to converse online offset the disadvantage of
"fixed-format" materials, such as video?
To help ensure continuity in education and training activities, we have gathered a wide range of online
learning materials made available online!
What may have seemed like fun in the beginning is now a great challenge for many students. The
following tips can support you in your self-management during the period of remote learning:
This shift into virtual classrooms is the culmination of the past weeks’
The quick turn to platforms like Zoom is disrupting curricula, particularly for professors less equipped to
navigate the internet and the particularities of managing a classroom mediated by a screen and
microphone
I had professors cancel class because they had technical difficulties, trouble with WiFi, or were simply
panicked over the prospect of teaching the full class over the new platform
online teaching may not even affect student behavior or learning. Studies have shown that medical
students learn and perform equally in live versus recorded lectures, and these results are reassuring at a
time like the COVID-19 outbreak.
the reality is that some subjects are much harder to transfer online.
A biochemistry or introductory economics lecture is easier to teach virtually than a music or dance class.
The creation of a film or theatrical production requires physical bodies in close proximity. Even in my
creative writing workshop, responding to a colleagues’ memoir about her mother’s death is hard to do
without looking her in the eye
The screen creates an emotional remove that makes it difficult to have back-and-forth dialogue
between multiple people, and
it’s almost impossible to provide thoughtful feedback without feeling like you’re speaking into a void.
The benefits are the same: classes can be taken anywhere, lack of commute offers more time for
studying or external commitments, and the structure is more welcoming to students with physical
disability or illness.
And yet, online learning hasn’t threatened the traditional model of in-person learning.
A large part of this can be attributed to accountability. Online classes require significantly more
motivation and attention. I found it difficult to focus on a pixelated video screen when I could browse
the internet on my computer, text on my phone, watch TV in the background, have one hand in the
pantry, or just lay comfortably in my bed. The problem, too, is that webinar technology doesn’t quite
live up to the hype. Noise and feedback—rustling papers, ambulances, kettles, wind—make it impossible
to hear people talk, and so everyone is asked to mute their microphones.
Online learning is more about outcome orentied-----but he also writes extensively about the isolation
and lack of productivity he feels
“Creativity comes from spontaneous meetings, from random discussions. You run into someone, you
ask what they’re doing, you say ‘Wow,’ and soon you’re cooking up all sorts of ideas.”
In educational settings, creativity is arguably one of the most important things at stake. The surprises
and unexpected interactions fuel creativity—often a result of sitting in a room brushing shoulders with a
classmate, running into professors in a bathroom line, or landing on ideas and insights that arise out of
discomfort in the room. This unpredictability is often lost online.
