Welcome to the SISTERS’ PAGE in this second issue of Al Huda for 2010! I
hope you are all in the best state of health and iman, enshaAllah, and to all my
fellow sisters who are students, I hope you are feeling refreshed and revived
after our mid-semester break. First and foremost, I would like to express my
gratitude to all sisters who attended the Sisters’ Gathering at Al Huda Mosque
last Sunday, the 11th of April. I was very pleased with the turn out (and all the
yummy food sisters brought!). The event was a great success alhamdulilah.
Even if you did not attend the Gathering, I have some great news to share… : D
The Annual Sisters’ Camp is less than a month away! The Sisters’ committee
have organised it to be held on Sunday, the 9th of May 2010 at Berwick Lodge
and this year’s theme is “Chasing Jannah”.
Jannah” We have planned a wide range of
activities that will strengthen our bond as Muslim sisters and increase our
knowledge of our beautiful religion of Islam, enshaAllah. However, most im-
portantly, we are going to make sure this year’s camp is packed with a day’s
worth of fun and excitement! Come on, stop making excuses and join us =) Re-
member, this camp is open to all sisters so you are welcome to invite your mum,
aunties, and sisters. The deadline for registration is Friday 30 April 2010.
